Good call - Fever Dog would be a good addition.

And this is only tangentially related, but I'd like to see some Mark Kozelek/Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon in the game.

If anybody has any left, I want a code for Stillwater.

Thanks in advance.

From Joystiq:

The keyboard ($79.99 by itself, $129.99 with a copy of the game) can be used not just to play piano or keyboard tracks, but can also be used to play lead guitar or bass.

We already knew that and it was obvious from the vocalgate picture.

So from people snagging the codes from discostu... Does Green Day not come with a code packed in to export it? I saw two versions at the store with a 10$ price difference - does the Plus version include the code?

I'm just curious. I actually have no real interest in GD but might still pick it up on clearance if it comes with a code to export.

It does. But discostu has FREE export codes. And yes, Green Day + has a free export code as well. The regular Green Day Rock Band comes with an export code for the oppertunity to buy the export for $10.

Ok, so if you bought the regular version from Gamestop they gave you the code that normally came in the Plus version.

Awesome - thanks.

I'll try to get a few more tomorrow. For all you Gamestop haters, you sure love my free codes every time :)

Is anybody still waiting for their free export code for preordering from Gamestop? I still haven't received mine. I emailed them, but haven't heard anything back.

I agree with others who've stated that the game just kind of stops being fun or challenging at the last venue. I think chronological order was a big fail, because it highlights how mediocre the last album is. And it just makes me madder that they virtually ignored Insomniac and Nimrod. I guess I can still hold out hope for DLC, though it doesn't sound too promising.

If any more codes come available in the next few days I'll glady put in a request for one

and I actually LIKE Gamestop....well some of the times, if there is a half decent employee there to talk to.

Are you saying 21st Century breakdown was mediocre because that's a great album.

I was bummed J.A.R. was left out, and Misery, and Redundant, too.

Oh and I'll take a code if you have one left, disco.

Any chance of a few Van Halen tracks sneaking over to RB3? I'd love to play Right Now.

That's my feeling, as well. Hell, I'd be happy if we didn't get any of those, but they announced Revolver and/or some non-LP/Past Masters stuff ("Hey Jude"! "Rain"!) was coming out as DLC.

But come to think of it, I remember during TB:RB track list speculation, some people here thought "Hey Jude" would be too boring because of it being so piano-centric. But now... :)

Yeah, I mentioned that a loooong time ago. Early in the days of DLC. Make it a track pack with the Wonders "That Thing You Do" and a couple other fictional band tracks. I think Spinal Tap was mentioned but they're already in.

Van Halen is a Guitar Hero exclusive. But then again, so were Ozzy & Hendrix.

Were Ozzy and Hendrix ever actually confirmed as "exclusive"? I'm pretty sure Van Halen were. Of course, everything is pretty much a timed-exclusive anyways.

I'd love to see that song in the game (and with your avatar, I'm sure someone could have guessed you'd want this song badly!). It would be awesome to see a Movie Pack with TTYD, Fever Dog and Walk Hard by Dewey Cox.

Yeah, I remember Activison making that a bragging point over Rock Band

"Walk Hard" is nice and all, but we NEED "Starman":

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3Z2Va7ruWgg&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3Z2Va7ruWgg&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

What the hell, might as well throw in some School of Rock, Soggy Bottom Boys, Death Lurks, and Barry Jive & the Uptown Five (formerly Sonic Death Monkey).

I do think 21st Century Breakdown is a mediocre album when compared to their other work... but more importantly, it makes for mediocre gameplay. The songs just aren't as challenging or fun (on the guitar, at least). If you play through the game as designed, it starts strong, but then just kind of peters out.

Gamestop emailed me back about my missing export code, and said they're passing the issue on to the "Premiums" department, which will take several business days. Gee thanks, guys.

Exactly. The entire progression of the game is backwards. You start with a bang, move on to more varied and better balanced songs in the middle venue, then at the end it lulls you into a sleep. It's really weird.

Now that keys are supported, I would kill for the Streets of Fire soundtrack. I'm not holding my breath tho.
