Interesting to see it being played in person and seeing how the charting for it is. |
Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
Do I get extra points for correctly predicting Roundabout and the inclusion of Dio before they were announced?
And my picks: New Order - "Blue Monday" Spoiler:
Simple Minds - "Don't You (Forget About Me)" Spoiler:
Meat Loaf - "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" (perfect for those multi-part vocals) Spoiler:

Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
Before I make my picks, I suggest we provide hints if we're going to put the videos in spoiler tags anyway.
1. This group has several songs in the Rock Band canon, but this one has been absent for some reason. It's not their big 1983 hit, but I think it's better for RB. Endorsed by your local school board: Spoiler:
2. This would be a great song for RB to get, and not impossible since the artist was featured in RB2. And if you're playing solo, I have a question: how does it feel to be on your own? Spoiler:
3. The Wurlitzer in this group's sound made it for the best that they were saved for a keyboard peripheral to make their RB debut. Some might prefer a more logical song, but I'm hoping for this one: Spoiler:

Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
I'm not playing, but I'd would have to imagine that Coldplay and George Harrison would have to be done deals at this point.
If the "two extra songs from RB1" thing actually pans out, I'm willing to wager they'll be available as a download. I don't think Harmonix would actually expect a bunch of people to still have their RB1 discs. |
Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
Styx - Come Sail Away
Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone Doobie Brothers - China Grove |

Or if that's not something you're interested in, you can keep the ~55 individual files on the hard drive. Whether or not you'd need the disc for the new RB1 download is an unknown in my mind. Seems like an unnecessary restriction. They may just go off previous export key purchase, if possible (and it seems like it would be). Hell, it may be something RB3 checks for. |
Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
My guess is Dream Theater - Pull Me Under. I know it was prominently featured in GHWT but it would be so perfect for this game (and I would never have to put that disc in my Xbox again -pray-).
Also: Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird and Loverboy - Working for the Weekend |

I've got my RB1 as well, and all the track packs, LEGO, Beatles, and Green Day too.

Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
I'd buy See You Again. It's just a stupid infectious pop song like Poker Face.

As big as an Ozzy fan I was in the 80s, it's sad that I recognize more Miley Cyrus songs in her pack than Ozzy songs in last week's pack.

Yes. And yes. It's too bad I don't have a Dream Theater tour shirt to put on to stoke the juju. |
Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do
Very nice. 20 players so far. Let's have a tie breaker!
How about taking a page from Red Dead Redemption's Liar's Dice and I'll take "Spot-on" guesses. There's no way to know how many people will play or how many songs will be guessed (currently 20x3 = 60 less 2 each for loneranger and thematahara who only guessed one song). Just guess how many songs the group will get exactly right. Closesr to the actual number, the better. I'll start with... 7. |

Got 'em. Reminder, here's the list for you to refer to for your Spot-On guesses: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...wVkFjdlE&hl=en
Shag, what gives with you not playing? Would it just be unfair? ;) |
