People that really want another OS on it will still find a way.

I was disappointed by just how poorly Linux ran on the thing. Was excited to have some Emu action

They should have said it would add PS2 backwards compatibility to later models. Talk about your internet rage!

Can you voice chat on the PS3 yet or do you have to be playing the same game together?

Sign that you don't play video games anymore: When you go buy G-d of War 3 for your nephew's birthday at Best Buy and ask for it.... for the 360.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs
I did the Data Transfer Utility this weekend from my 40GB Phatty to a 120GB Slim and it worked perfect for everything... except I forgot to disable the 'Video' portion of my previous PS3 Phatty (I did the 'Game' part and tested it just fine). Since I already did a full format of my Phatty (and thus can't deactivate the old system), is there any way to disable it now? It is only a few trailers I downloaded, but still bugs me that I didn't disable it.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs
You can't re-download videos anyway (unless you call them, and they might let you do it once). However, I don't know if trailers are subject to the same rules.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs
It's context, though. Unless you're an Ancient Greek, I don't see how "God of War" is anything sacrilege. Even the Christian Bible makes mention of other "gods", they're just lower case. "God of War" is just that, but formatted as a title.

It's just when it's written that I omit it, it's just a cultural thing growing up. @MichaelCorvin, though, that was funny. Nephew's 20.

Isn't it a bit late for a Prison Break video game tie-in?

And to be fair, I'm pretty sure he was saying that asking for GOW3 on xbox 360 was the sacrilegious thing

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs
I love the closing comments on the IGN review for the PS3 version:
The events of Prison Break: The Conspiracy run concurrently with those of the series’ first season. It’s outcome is the same – they escape – and it doesn’t reveal anything that will please fans or cast new light on the show’s characters or plot lines. If you’re an absolute Prison Break diehard, don’t buy this game – steal a copy instead, surrender yourself to the police and then get sent to an actual jail – because serving a real sentence couldn’t possibly be harder time than this. |

Looks like 120 and 250 gig PS3s are back in stock at Amazon.
