This is pretty much just an exercise in frustration. Left my PS3 on all night and after about 14 hours of downloading, it reached 80% complete and then gave me an error message that my connection timed out. My PSP's download timed out at as well after the same amount of time and reaching 95%.

grabbed LBP and wipeoutHD 8am this morning without a problem, does anyone know if any of the offered psp titles will play on ps3?

Got my free games yesterday. I did have some error while trying to download but was able to get them both without any major problem.

I was able to download the free theme, the free month of PS+ and Sonic 2, now when I try going back into the store it keeps giving me the error code of 80710D36.. -sigh-

What games are most people getting? Are you going more for value and getting the full retail games, or choosing based on what looks fun.
I'm looking at Super Stardust because I love Geometry Wars. I also want Dead Nation, but it seems that the general feeling is that DN is the weakest game of the bunch. I watched and read reviews of all the other stuff but at this point I just don't know. I already have LBP. I know Infamous is supposed to be great. And WipeOut seems to be the biggest bang for your buck. Anyone have experiences with these games or reason why I should choose one over another? Just wanting to get the most enjoyment out of the opportunity PS has given us. |

Infamous is pretty great, probably the most bang-for-your-"buck" out of the games offered, with Wipeout being right behind that. The other games are good in an arcadie sort of way, but they just don't have the amount of content as those two, which are full, robust complete games.

I got LBP & Dead Nation. I used to have Infamous, so I didnt need that, and i had no interest in Starburst. I was torn between Wipeout & Dead Nation, but like Zombies better.

I'm having a problem and I hope someone can help me. I downloaded my first free PS3 game just now. After it finished and instated, I was going to download the second one but now I can't find the list of games anymore.
I went to services list and it shows the SCEA Promotion. I enter it and it shows Welcome back: Free PS3 Game 1 and that's it. It doesn't show a listing for game 2 anywhere. Anyone have any ideas on what's wrong? Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, I found it. |

Got InFAMOUS and Dead Nation on my account, Ratchet and Clank on my UK account, and LBP and Mod Nation for my PSP. I highly recommend InFAMOUS, especially since your save game will carry over to the 2nd one. I've already played it, but I traded the game and still have some trophies to unlock, so I figured I would get it again.

Definitely picking up inFamous. not sure about the other game yet, though. leaning towards LBP or Wipeout.

I went with Infamous (which I had on disc, finished, and sold a while back) and Wipeout HD (had the main game already but not the Fury add-on) for the PS3 games. Then I got Killzone Liberation (another "owned it, beat it, sold it" situation) and Modnation Racers.
I'm playing through Infamous again, going evil this time. Going back to the original has really given me more appreciation for the sequel, which looks much better, especially in the animation department. |

Just as an update, after letting the full game trial of Infamous run for an hour, it finally popped up as a free welcome back option. Seems like I'm the only one on the internet affected by this, but just in case it happens to someone else, there it is.
