Check your download list. Same thing happened to me trying to get Killzone Liberation, but when I went to my download list it was right there on top.

I didn't really make it clear what happened:

1) When I was selecting the "get free ps3 game 2" option, it gave me error 80710D36.

2) Attempting to "buy" that again gave me the message "this content is no longer available."

3) When I attempted to select my free game it told me "you must select get free ps3 game 2."

4) When I backed out to main Welcome Back screen, "get free ps3 game 2" was no longer there at all.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Ok, found this on sony's forum:

Q: I no longer have the option to choose my free Welcome Back games. What can I do?
A: "If you navigate away from the Welcome Back section of the store without choosing your free games or exit the store completely you may need to follow the below in order to choose and download your free games.
On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB
Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed
Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”
Edit: Just did it now, and it looks like I'm good to go.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

I just found this:

Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
Choose “SCEA Promotion” from the list of services displayed
When you finally get the promotion link to work it takes you back to the store to actually download the game. I can now see my first game even though it errors out when I try to download it. I'll just keep trying until the download starts and leave the other 3 for later.

EDIT: atxbomber beat me to it.

Was just about to post that, works beautifully if you can get past the 3 hours of errors lol.

Getting infamous and LBP now.

I have a theory that infamous isn't showing up for me because I had previously gotten the full game trial but never played it. I'm gonna let the trial run for an hour and see if it pops up then.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Maybe this is unrelated to the hacks, but I just noticed mysterious messages were sent from the e-mail account I had associated with PSN. They just had "hello" as the subject, and web links in the message. For some reason, only my family members got the e-mails - I'm not sure how the identity thieves worked that out. Of course, my parents clicked on the link right away and aren't sure what's happening to their computer

Fortunately there hasn't been any unusual activity with my credit card (and I have an identity theft service monitoring things). I've changed all the passwords I can think of. Full malware and virus scans of my computer came up clean. With luck, that'll be the end of it.

I still can't get over how just my immediate family members were targeted by the fake messages. It wasn't like our last name is in our e-mail names or anything. I guess it could be worse. I recently send out e-mails from that account related to a job search I was doing. I could've lost a job if a prospective employer got a virus or porn or something from me.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

I really can't bitch about 2 free games but the process of getting them was aggravating. Thankfully you all seem to of had similar problems and you had figured out solutions already.

Honestly I would of preferred the option of more downloadable titles. I find the PSN exclusive titles to be vastly superior to the retail exclusives the company is often so proud of but I realize they only want to give away titles that they had a hand in creating.

You probably have some evil software lurking on your computer that's accessing your address book. It's a pretty common approach. Since you used that account to send outgoing mail at least once, that's probably why it latched onto that. I bet you'll find a virus or trojan or whatever if you do a scan.

you sure about that?

Q: Do I get to keep the games in PlayStation Plus forever?
A: Content that is free in PlayStation Plus will not be available after your PlayStation Plus time has expired. However, if you decide to join PlayStation Plus, you’ll have access to all of the content you downloaded during your 30 day access for as long as you are a subscriber.

Yes. Games and some add-on content does expire, but themes are yours to keep regardless. You can tell as you download it because the items that expire will require you to acknowlegde it before you get them.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Anyone know what's the deal with Wipeout HD demo in Canada? When i search the PSN store for Wipeout it lists it but when i click on it it says 'This content cannot be accessed on your account' WTF?

And if i go to demos and go look for it by letter it's not even listed in the 'W' section...

Is this a Canadian copyright thing? I mean i'm pretty sure i downloaded and played the demo way back when it came out originally a year ago or so.

So now i have the Unlock file AND Fury and i cannot access the demo for some odd reason...

Well, I did a complete scan of my computer with McAfee and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Everything came up clean. At the time of the hacking, it's likely that my Yahoo account and PSN account had the same password (I know ... I was lazy when I made one of them and never remembered to fix it). It doesn't seem a stretch for hackers to have gotten e-mails and PSN passwords to phish a little and test if people were stupid like me. I guess on the bright side - I'm having a new computer shipped to me (nothing to do with this - just needed a better computer). In about a week, I can trash this hard drive.

I know this is common, and it seems likely that no harm was done. But I can't help but be struck by the fact that these people got into my address book, selectively picked out the people with the same last name as me (my relatives), and sent them all messages to try to fuck up their lives a little bit. I know it's not like a mugging or theft or murder ... but on a moral level that's just evil.

Nevermind, i found it in my download list of 2 years ago! But this weird it's not even listen and i can't access it, or is it BECAUSE i already downloaded it that the contact cannot be accessed on my account? Weird.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Me again! lol

I made a UK account years ago on my first PS3(80GB PHAT MSG4 bundle) that YLOD last year. How do i load up my already existing UK account on a different PS3(slim)? i tried just changing the email and password when i sign in but it says 'You cannot sign in using another user's sign in ID'

And when i go to the XMB and go to the USERS section i only have my own current PSN ID and the option to create a NEW user....

Thanks!

Passwords can only be changed from the PS3 where the account was created, or on the PSN website. So you have to go on the website to change it. Then after you change it, you shouldn't have any problem loading it up on your new PS3.

EDIT: If you've already done this, you do have to add a new user on your PS3 and give it a name, but that's just for your local machine, then you can assign it to your already existing PSN account.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

I was able to download Wipeout and LBP quite fast. Impressive.

Just had to refresh after the occasional error.

Note:

If you have two or more accounts, you can use that to your advantage, hint-hint.

By the way, if you have a uk account or can make one they have the demo up for the new Housemarque/Ubisoft game Outlands, it's actually rather good I think.
