Pretty sneaky, Sis Sony!
That's how PS+ has always been. The discounted items are yours to keep, but the free stuff is only available as long as you are a PS+ member.

I found it by finding LulzSec's release about the hack (http://www.mediafire.com/?4eqdhjq4uqltwb0), but Mediafire has already deleted the file.

So the games that will be offered for free will only be downloadable thorough PSN+?

No. The Welcome Back program games are outside the PSN+. You get to keep the Welcome Back games forever. As part of the Welcome Back program, however, you get one month of access to PSN+. PSN+ offers their own free monthly games that you get to download. It's those games you lose should you not keep your PSN+ sub.

Seriously, after missing six weeks of store updates, couldn't they have put out at least one new free PSN game for PS+ users? That seemed a little disappointing.

I'm thinking about getting Dragon's Lair and Space Ace while they're on sale. Anyone own those yet?

Okay. I just read (mistakenly, I guess) that they were free only through +.

I believe that's part of tomorrow's update.

Also, with Dragon's Lair, if you've played one haven't you played them all?

Thanks for that info. Already have MTG but the kids might like Lilo & Stitch.
Playstation Plus squatters, don't forget to check the themes section. There are some cool ones and you get to keep those after your trial ends. I just love that dynamic SEGA one and the fish tank is nice as well.

Is the Loyalty Reward program up yet? I couldn't find it.

I thought we would be getting Beyond good and evil HD since that was supposed to have been released during the whole outage.

Well, the downloads off PSN are definitely faster, probably up to 3x faster from what I can remember. If this is what it took to get faster downloads, it may have been worth it!

Unfortunately, having to manually instal everything after it's been downloaded is still a pain in the ass.

I was getting a lot of errors this morning, but once I got something to actually download, it was incredibly fast.

Unless I'm going to use something right away, I just let it sit there and then have it all auto-install when I turn the system off. But I understand your complaint and how the system could be streamlined.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

I'm wondering about something.

I have an Australian PSN Account and a US Copy of LA Noire (purchased from Amazon.com), so I have US Game saves on my console which are "BLUS" coded. Last night I downloaded/installed two of the DLC, A Slip of the Tongue and The Naked City, and the DLC file (1900MB+ all up) is in the Game utility section on my XMB so they downloaded successfully. But where I thought I would find the new DLC cases, Traffic and Vice desk, aren't there.

I got an email after the prchase stating that the dlc is the "BLES" coded version, so Europe/Australia, which makes sense since I do have an Australian PSN Account. So Bles DLC + Blus Game disc = No work. In a nutshell.

My question is, if I get my hands on an Australian copy of the LA Noire game disc, the dlc should unlock right? Furthermore, will my game saves which are coded blus work on an Australian game disc? So will I have a 100% game file and the repeat cases feature still available to me if I play a different disc version?

Thank you.

I would assume getting an Australian version would unlock the DLC, but if the DLC is tied by region I'd guess the saves are also.

I hope most PSN owners get their fix on the store freebies ASAP, so that by June 7th, I can download SSFIV: AE DLC without a hitch

Not their fault people who have been checking every hour for the past week decided to grab everything at once. Dorks have no patience.

I decided to check out the free theme they have in with the free games and I got stuck there. I kept getting the "error has occurred" message and I couldn't back out(pressing O would just result in another error). I was literally in a "error occurred" loop for a good 5min.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

My only issue is that as a PS+ subscriber, I already got Wipeout HD for free. On my own I purchased the expansion. Now, however, since I "own" the bundle, it won't let me get the bundle as my free game, even though if I cancel my PS+ sub, I lose the game.

Also inFamous is not showing up for me on my list.

Edit: Nevermind. I'm stupid. Wipeout HD was a free forever game when signing up for PS+. If I remember correctly. Anyone else remember?

Well, I wouldn't try getting your games right now, because as I just found out, if you get an error while doing the unnecessarily complicated process, it will act like you've chosen your free game even though you haven't, so the option will no longer be there and you're going to be screwed.

Same thing just happened to me with a PSP game.
