It was, indeed, sarcasm as indicated by the ellipsis. However, the game wasn't that bad... For free.

Awesome, I'm going to be pissed if I have to cancel my card.
Sony Doesn’t Know Yet If Your Credit Card Number Was Stolen
Brian Crecente — Sony has not yet determined if the personal information or credit card numbers of users on the still-down Playstation Network have been stolen, according to a Sony spokesman.
Sony Computer Entertainment is conducting "thorough investigation" into the outage, Satoshi Fukuoka, a spokesman for Sony Computer Entertainment in Tokyo, tells PC World.
Sony Computer Entertainment of America spokesman Patrick Seybold reiterated Fukuoka's statement, confirming that Sony is still looking into whether credit card or other personal information were taken during the "external intrusion."
Both declined to provide more information about the intrusion that led the company to take the global Playstation Network down last week. The network remains down as of Monday morning.
In an update this morning, Seybold said there is no update or timeframe for getting the network back up yet.
"As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we're working to get them back online quickly," he wrote. "We'll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience."
Seybold said over the weekend that officials were working around the clock to rebuild the network.

What credit card? Oh wait.... FUCK!
As someone that several years ago bought some PSN games that would really piss me.

I don't remember if there's a "remember my card" option on PSN or not. Let me just check...oh wait, I can't.

I'm glad that I didn't use my credit card to buy games, I use the PSN game card instead. Sony is really doing a poor job on fixing this problem.

I'm glad I opted for the fraud protection program with my Amazon card. I'll be watching my account closely over the next few months.

Damnit. Hmm go ahead and get a new card, or wait for Sony to say something...

Didn't know my credit card information was saved on the PSN until I downloaded Pac-Man Championship Edition DX a couple nights before the network went down. I thought, that's weird but cool, I guess. I missed where I had the option to not have it remember the info. And now, well, it may be out there.

Didn't even consider the CC part because I maybe make one or two purchases a year on PSN...but I think I'm going to play it safe and get a new card issued.

Thankfully, my account is linked to a credit card that got cancelled like three weeks ago after my wife lost her card. Have fun, thieves!

I haven't cancelled my card yet...primarily because I can't remember which one I used on PSN...and primarily because I'm too busy tearing off my shirt and sobbing uncontrollably.

I had my paypal debit card on there, i cancelled it and am hoping they send me a new one as they said they have to check my credit again which shouldn't be needed seeing as it just comes straight out of my checking account anyways.

I'm glad that I used a PSN card for my purchases. It also it seems that the network won't be up any time soon.

The only reason i put my card up there was before sony came out with the cards. I still have no clue why they didn't put out those cards at launch like microsoft did. It took so damn long for them to bring out those cards. At least it was an old bank card that's been disabled. Never did put my new card cause i had a feeling Sonys security wasn't the best.

Not sure how much you can put into this article. But it mentions the Credit Card risk.

So if Sony does come out and say credit numbers have been compromised, is this a bigger screw up than Microsofts RRoD on the 360?

I don't think you can compare a total hardware failure to a massive system hack. They're completely different animals. But it certainly is terrible for their PR. Funny this happens the week they launch SOCOM 4, an online-only game. That has to hurt sales for this particular title.

This is what I'm hoping from Sony when everything has been said and done:
- A detailed explanation of what happened, if Credit cards or other personal information has been compromised and what kind of measures have they put in place so this doesn't happen again.
I don't really care about any compensation but I would be lying if I said that I wasn't annoyed by the outage this long weekend.
The reason why I never used my credit card was because a friend of mine got his system stolen with all of his CC information inside. I didn't want that to happen to me.
