I only have one really close friend who plays games. The others don't even own an Xbox or PS3, so I'd say it's pretty easy to pick who to "lend" my account to.

I just read an article on IGN and its says you have to have at least one digital box hooked up in the house. So that't not going to work for me since I'm on ATT Uverse and use parents comcast login for HBOGO on my phone.

Looks like plan B it is.

There was no "in house box" check for DirectTV. How can Xfinity tell if you have a box in the same house, House?

Comcast isn't using the HBOGO app, they have full blown xfinity through Xbox. Also when you use it, it does not count against your data cap.

If you do a google search for xfinity on xbox it should come up. I can't post the link because the site is blocked by my work, I was reading it on my phone.

HBOGO works great. I like it a lot more than the Roku version. Does anyone know what the limit is to the number of devices on an account?

Here's the most recent article on IGN that I could find:

HBOGo, Comcast, and MLB.TV Launch on Xbox 360
March 27, 2012
by Steven Hopper

Microsoft revealed today that three highly anticipated entertainment apps are now available on Xbox LIVE, announcing the launch of HBOGo, MLB.TV, and Comcast through their service.

HBOGo works similarly to the iPad app, letting Xbox 360 owners use their systems to access a bevy of on-demand TV shows and movie content. It does require an Xbox LIVE Gold account as well as an HBO subscription through their cable or satellite provider.

The Comcast app brings Xfinity TV to the Xbox 360, streaming Comcast's On-Demand content to Comcast television subscribers (an Xbox LIVE Gold account and Xfinity internet service are also required), including new TV shows and full seasons of past shows, and the Streampix library, along with Kinect gesture and voice controls.

The MLB.TV app allows MLB.TV Premium subscribers (a Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is also required) to access live and on-demand game content for all out-of-market regular season games (streaming in HD), with the 2011 season is available and archived, as well. For all Xbox LIVE Gold members, recaps that give you a rundown of archived games in less than 5 minutes and a free Game of the Day are also available.

Get the full scoop on all of your favorite teams with MLB.TV.

Aside from games, the MLB.TV app allows users to select their favorite teams and access their live games, archives, and recaps easily from a central hub, a Mini Guide that gives you a quick rundown of the day's games, a split screen feature that lets you watch two games at one time, and gesture and voice controls for Kinect owners.
I don't see anything in the article that the HBOGo app for Xbox works any different than the one for iOS (i.e. no mention of requiring a box).

The Xfinity App does require both Xfinity TV and Xfinity Internet, so you wouldn't be able to use the Xfinity App while connected to AT&T Uverse internet.

There's nothing in the FAQ that indicates a limit on the number of devices. What's more, you're not limited to just one simultaneous stream:

Just downloaded and activated HBO Go. Works great. Now I can finally catch up on Boardwalk Empire and Treme before the next seasons start.

Is the Xfinity app working for anyone else? On mine it still says Coming Soon.

HBO Go downloaded and installed and running. Am I supposed to be getting 5.1 audio from this? Seems like I'm only getting stereo.

My receiver tells me it's 5.1, but I haven't verified it's actually pushing more than 2.0.

Yeah, I have my receiver set to Direct, and it was just giving me stereo. However, I went into my 360 Audio Settings, switched to Stereo and then switched back to DD 5.1 and it says I'm receiving 5.1 now but I'm not sure yet. Guess i could just stick my ear up to my rear speakers to see.

Also, anyone have recommendations for a great either wired or wireless headset + mic that I can use for gaming as well as for web video conferencing?

So this is interesting. In an article on The Verge, it says all Xbox Live gold subscribers get 1 MLB game for free per day without having to subscribe to the $125 package. That's pretty cool: http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/...b-tv-xbox-live

I use a wireless Turtle Beach. Sound quality, comfort, and quality is excellent. You can buy them at Best Buy

MLB is doing that for all their MLB-TV apps. The Roku one has a free game per day as well.

That's awesome, but seems pretty stupid for them unless it's just for a couple weeks.

That's cool. 1 free game per day is cool.

Question, so do you need to register for this on MLB.com? I downloaded the App, but didn't really play around with it yet.

I have the wireless stereo x32's, and they sound great. I have a friend that has the 5.1's and they sound even better. They are the X42's I believe.

Thanks. I'll swing by best buy and see if I can check them out.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

So I downloaded and installed the Xfinity App in one of my Xbox 360s. Had some trouble at first trying to login. So I went to play some matches, 1 hour later it worked without issue.

Now, the only thing I wanted to test was if the Xfinity App for the Xbos 360 was the same as the one for the iPad regarding content. Meaning, HBO has the same content. I only did one test and it failed. The Wire only lists 4-5 episodes.

In the iPad app you can see the whole series. So I don't know if that's a bug, or they just decided to make their Xbox 360 app more crappy.

I'm only getting 2.0 sound. When I switch to playing a game like Call of Duty or watching a DVD I get 5.1 sound. So that's pretty disappointing, but the picture looks great.

Finally got the Xfinity app to work. The HBO content is pretty limited. I only see a couple episodes for The Wire, only Season 2 for Boardwalk Empire, only Season 3 for True Blood and only Season 3 for Eastbound & Down.
