It's really annoying that they can't release on both platforms simultaneously.

CRAP!!! Stupid Microsoft sends me a free month but allow me to use it on my account (Family plan) thanks! Guess I will add this to my old alternate id and add him to the family plan and kick him out of the plan.

Well, if it's any consolation, I haven't been able to redeem mine either. Keeps saying an error occurred during the transaction. I wonder if they're meant for silver members only?

That's great timing since my account only reverted to Silver on last Saturday, the 10th. I've basically been a Gold member since getting my 360 exactly 5 years ago this week. There was a period where I had been using a stack of 48 hour codes too.

I know I checked my Inbox yesterday after seeing some reports over at CAG and found nothing. The time stamp indicates it came in just hours afterwards.

I got the e-mail and code also. Didn't work activating on the Internet. Did anyone try their console?

I successfully activated it on my console about 5 minutes ago. Account was Silver free membership.

I just entered the code on my console and it works....yes, I'm a gold member. Now I'm extended until September 2012.

All of you guys suck . Alas, didn't get a code here. I did get my November rewards points yesterday though, so that's a small consolation.

I just checked out the SyFy video app and IMO it's pretty worthless. All they have is clips, behind the scenes material and episode guides along with some online exclusive material.

Your not going to find full episodes of Haven, Eureka, Warehouse 13 etc.

So basically, more ads.

During my packing for a move, I found an ancient Cyberhome DVD player in my closet. I vaguely recall it breaking many years ago. Before I tossed it out, I figured I better check to see if there was a disc inside. Wouldn't power up. Almost tossed it again, thinking, I wouldn't have left a disc in a player, I'm pretty OCD about that. But I was tired of packing and got my screwdriver. Ended up taking out about 40 screws from the thing, marveling at how it's basically a little computer, same drive inputs, motherboard, power connectors, etc.

Sure enough, it has a disc, my Xbox Halo 2 Collector's Edition of all things. Been looking for that one for ages. Guess it has some cinematics on it playable on a DVD player, or I at least hope that's the reason I put it in there. Oddly, earlier today I packed up a CD player I never use, and it had the original Halo soundtrack in it.

Anyway, just felt like sharing. Carry on.

Has anyone had a game go black with the xbox freezing post-dahsboard update?

This happened twice while entering games in Gears of War 3.

Defense Grid froze on me twice yesterday, but I assumed it was a problem with the game itself.

I got my email code for a free month of Gold at 5:25 PM today, so I guess they're still rolling them out. I was able to redeem it online.

I was like Damn, no free 30 days. Then I remembered that my live account is under an email I haven't checked in months. Logged in and there it was, waiting for me.
