On the website it says we just get the Beta channel now, but the update comes with the Reach disc.

Is that why X-Men was so choppy last night? BTW - I didn't realize that achievement whoring was being had, I thought I was just a lot better than the rest of you guys. I really need to get a head set that works.

No, it was choppy because my computer starting doing "stuff" around 9pm. I paused those and it cleared up.

It wasn't a problem, only one guy needed it and he could have easily got it on his own later. But I call bullshit on you thinking you were soooooo much better when 3 guys (two of whom I were controlling, btw) were walking around doing nothing. I mean when you have 400 kills and I have 12, something's not quite right

It was so choppy, I didn't know what was going on. I just assumed that my tornado was overpowered (that actually was my first time playing that game).

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

I got dinged with my first negative rep in three years the other day. It was for being "overly aggressive," which means someone thought I "took the game too seriously or got angry at other players."

The shit of it is, I never play with a headset! Pretty much the only multiplayer games I ever play are COD4, Uno, and now Full House Poker, and the only thing I can think of (if this is a legitimate beef someone had), is that I tend to fold a lot in FHP, and maybe they didn't like that or something.

Nothing says aggressive poker playing than frequent folds.

Rep is bunk. I have like 20% negative for foul language and quitting early. The thing is, I never wear the headset and the kinect mic is off. Also, I'm the first guy to bitch about early quitters - so I never do that. It's all just sour grapes.

Well, the "took the game too seriously" part of that is what I was getting at.

It showed up on my 360Voice blog on Tuesday, so someone must have dinged me on Monday. Monday I was in a ranked tourney on FHP and I made it to the final two, where I was massively short-stacked. I kept folding pre-flop every time I had a crap hand, and I guess the dude must have gotten tired of that and started going all-in every hand. But I had a couple of Big Slicks and used those to turn the tables and beat him.

So that's the only thing I can figure--he was pissed that he lost and neg-repped me for it.

Yeah, I have 20% neg as well and that's only from one feedback left roughly 4 years ago.

Some ass thought he would play the waiting game on me to quit backgammon (so he could get the win and keep his streak alive for an achievement, I presume, I had no mic on). I waited him out instead. I grabbed a laptop and just screwed around waiting for him to play. I think the match went 3+ hours before he finally quit out. He left me the negative. Fucker.

The whole rep system needs an overhaul. Good in theory, poor in execution.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

Rep system is a bunch of bunk. I'm the nicest guy on the planet when it comes to playing games and I have a negative comment on me because I didn't understand what the guy on the other end was doing. This was in Street Fighter 2 Turbo, or whatever the first one was for XBLA. He said he was trying to figure out a move, then proceeded to beat my ass like a redheaded step child, so I just quit out after I was done.

He proceeded to email me and tell me he was going to leave negative rep for me leaving early. Oh okay sunshine, I'm supposed to stay and let you beat my ass repeatedly. I get it. And you can't get them rescended or anything. It is also back to the old philosphy of people are going to leave negative comments rather than positive ones. Personally, I think some kind of reminder or prompt in Xbox live to rate the person you just played with randomly might work a lot better.

Anyway, I saw some of you were playing X-Men to get achievos. I already have them all, but if you need a sixth or just help to get some of them, just invite me if I'm around

Is there any way I can view my rep on xbox.com or something?

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

I had one guy get so made at me in Black Ops that he sent me an angry message calling me a douchebag, hope you die, etc. Not sure if I got a bad rep from him too, but I have a few on there. Anyway, I sat through the the entire replay of the one match we were in together. We were on the same team, we barely saw each other, and I never team-killed him or anything. WTF, man?

Even reading the answers are annoying any more. Oh well, I'll keep playing their game for no discernible reason.

Side note: I wonder when we'll actually see our 5% March rebate show up, even as Pending, on our Rewards account.

May.

Other than Rock Band content, that 5% back got me to bite on a bunch of Pinball FX2 tables and the Fable DLC (/w achievements) for my wife. I should get back a pretty good amount (like $1-2 worth).

Word. I got a bunch of those XBLA games that were on sale last week along with the 2 YDKJ packs. Only RB content I got in March was NIN and that Poets of the Fall RBN track. I'm hoping my 800-point gamertag change qualifies as well.

They're doing it again in April, for those that don't know. Hopefully that's a permanent thing with a few 10% of 15% months peppered in.

I just checked and I'm at 60% mostly due to Trash talk and Quitting early too. I only ever have party chat on and play almost exclusively with friends. I'm guessing all the glitchy games of NHL 11 caused it.
