The protagonist in games are starting to get a little to similar. I am not just talking about how they use the same 3 actors to voice them, but the way they look.

Totally. I just played Dante's Inferno and he also had two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. All in the same place too! WTF?!

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Does anyone know if Costco still sells a bundle for the 360 and how much? I've seen the Wii and PS3 there, but not the 360{I know they've sold them in the past}.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Are they still adding backwards compatibility for titles? I am holding onto Beyond Good and Evil and Psychonauts because I want to replay them, but I REALLY don't want to hook up my original Xbox.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Psychonauts is on the back compat list. I think they said they are done updating though.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Elite bundle is 293.99 at Costco.
Being that they're discontinuing Xbox Live for original Xbox games I highly doubt they're working on adding additional backwards compatibility for original Xbox games. |

Major Nelson just tweeted this:
"FYI: Some XBLA titles are no longer available for purchase from Xbox LIVE Arcade due to publisher evolving rights and permissions..." Anyone know which ones? Did they pull titles that'll be part of the Game Room? |

* Cyberball 2072
* Defender * Gauntlet * Joust * Paperboy * Robotron 2084 * Root Beer Tapper * Smash TV * Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 |

But if you bought them, you don't lose them do you?

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
No, check the XBLA thread for more on this subject.

Anyone else play Dante's Inferno?
I am one of those folks who never owned a Playstation so i have never played a God of War game. That meant Dante's was totally new to me and overall i thought it was a pretty good game. Great graphics, a few decent puzzles, lots of hack and slash, and the depiction of Hell and sin was pretty fascinating. I beat the game on the lower difficulty level in like 6.5 hours so it would make a killer rental. I also think i walked away with like 850 achievement points on the single play through. If i had kept a certain older save i also could have easily gotten another 20 achievement points but alas i didn't. Anyone else enjoy it? |

I've been scouring around my local area here trying to find a new 120 GB HD (to upgrade from my 20 GB HD) and it appears it's either not being carried anywhere anymore or its been discontinued. Anyone have any luck finding a nice internet source that has these things for less than the MSRP and so it comes with the transfer cable? I figure if I'm not going to find it nearby I might as well get it cheaper.

So Amazon has 250GB hard drives for the 360, I've seen them on e-crater as well. I'm sure there is a major catch to be found somewhere, besides the not being able to play BC titles like the one review states. Someone explain to me why these are a bad idea. Would I be needlessly flirting with a console ban?

^^^ Since it's not a Microsoft certified product my guess is that you would be flirting with a ban --- which is total bullshit.

That's the rumor that's been floated out there. A patch will be coming in the near future that bans these drives. Who knows, but I wouldn't take the chance given how much I use Live.
