Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Nostalgia, Flash. It was THE first pinball table I ever spent my own money on to play and it was the first pinball table that I was ever able to actually accomplish some of the goals on rather than aimlessly smacking the flippers. I taught myself how to play pinball on that table when I was a kid. It was in a Loco Joe's right next to an Adams Family and Elvira table.

Those of you doing Xbox 360 to Xbox One Pinball FX 2 transfers, Marvel Pinball pack, Earth Defense, and Excalibur should be available now.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
The Addams Family kickstarter is up.
They're asking for $97,640. I'll probably throw in $20 for the PS3 and PS4 versions. I probably would've went to $50 for the gold table, but there's no way I'm going $100 for it. I hope they make it.
Also, on the 23rd, the PS3/Vita versions of Lights...Camera...Action! and High Roller Casino will be released. That'll mean they'll only be 2 tables behind Diner and Bram Stoker's Dracula, which I'd guess they'll try and get out for Halloween, like they did with Haunted House last year.

Yeah, I'll probably go $20 as well. Would like this table for the Vita/PS3 and PS4. They were really cool with me about the T2 reward so I'll send the Karma back their way.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is now available for Steam and Android. iOS coming in a couple of days. Hope they get it for consoles soon. Looks like they did a great job with it.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
Update : It looks like a problem importing the tables from Pinball FX to Pinball FX2 in 10/2010. Those DLC tables that I originally purchased as Pinball FX DLC were imported to Pinball FX2, but they don't show as purchased DLC in Pinball FX2. I think I'm screwed here because the system has no way to see that I own the Pinball FX2 versions of those tables (even though I do). I might just re-buy them for the PS3/Vita and then import them to the PS4 instead.

I'm not great at pinball but as I start to learn the tables more (my favorites are Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), I obviously play with a strategy... have any of you "beaten" a table? Have you been able to get thru all the scenes in any one sitting? I find it almost impossible to get past one scene (let alone two -- and each scene is then broken into multiple parts each).

I wonder if they'll be sold together or separately? Both for $5 would be

I wonder how they'll censor the table to keep the table in line with Zen Pinball's
rating.
I remember Far Sight talking about how they wanted to launch a separate line of adult-themed tables like Playboy and how they couldn't put those tables out in TPA due to the game's ESRB rating.

Pinball Meets RPG in Rollers of the Realm
+ Posted by John Hardin on Oct 02, 2014 // PR Manager, ATLUS
Okay, so maybe you’ve heard of Rollers of the Realm, the Pinball RPG from ATLUS and Phantom Compass; and maybe you even know that it’s going to be cross buy for PS4 and PS Vita for just $9.99. But what I’m sure you’re still unclear on is “how the heck will this game work?” Well, fortunately for you, we put together this handy little guide for the good folks at PlayStation.Blog.
<object width="853" height="480"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/fGao-k4ftWk?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/fGao-k4ftWk?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="853" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
First, the basics: Rollers of the Realm blends the physics-based gameplay of pinball with all your favorite RPG mechanics. And we’re not joking, you have a whole party of characters that have unique abilities (in the form of pinballs, naturally).
For example, your Rogue — who can steal gold from villagers or deal backstab damage on foes — is the lightest pinball in your arsenal and can be used to squeeze through tight spaces to unlock hidden areas. She also can summon her canine companion, that acts as a multiball to really clear out enemies quickly.
In contrast, there is the larger, heavier, drunken Knight who is less… accurate, but can smash through boxes or other barriers to allow access to new areas on the board. Oh, and his massive size makes it easy for him to bowl over foes, and since he’s a knight, his special ability protects the gutter areas, preventing any pinball from falling.

As you gain new party members in your travels, you’ll find yourself switching between them on the fly to overcome a variety of obstacles. Whether they be carefully constructed blockades, mazes requiring deft agility, or waves of foes blocking your way, picking the right pinball will be crucial to your success. Especially the healer, who can both revive fallen pinballs and repair damage to your flippers.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper RPG without treasure chests! Each level in the Realm has a chest and a corresponding key, but acquiring their goods will test your mental acuity and mastery of physics. While it may present a challenge to unlock, each chest squirrels away some amount of gold, or even character upgrades, for those skilled enough!
The Realm opens up on PS4 and PS Vita in November, 2014!
