This is the third year of the show. I went last year and it was simply incredible to get to play a bunch of real machines in tip top shape. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested, but if you're in the area you should really check it out!
Flashburn, you're pretty close, right?

I grew quite fond of Grand Lizard. I need to get more old games. The Whirlwind that was there was very, very nice.
I've always been a fan of Swords of Fury, highly underrated.

Weren't we supposed to get something like 10 Star Wars tables this year from Zen? It's been six months and they haven't given us a single table, Star Wars or otherwise. Say what you will about Far Sight, at least they keep cranking out DLC tables. Zen Studios is putting out some sort of dance/fighting game for the Vita next week and released a Wreckateer clone for the 360 in the Spring, but I still haven't heard a word on the pinball front. It's disappointing.
On a related topic, if anyone didn't hear, Star Wars Pinball will be given away for free to Playstation Plus members this month (either next Tuesday or the following one). Game can be played on the PS3 or Vita; on SW Pinball or as ZP2 DLC. Nice give-away to those who didn't already buy it.

I'd imagine we'll get something soon after the music game. After the delays getting Zen 2 out, they seem to have been announcing stuff real close to release. The Zen Classics and Star Wars packs were less than two weeks from release when announced if I remember right. I'd be shocked if we don't have something new by early October. I'm hoping by the end of the year we'll see another Star Wars pack the Dr. Strange table.

FYI, Pinball Arcade is in beta right now for PC, and should be released in the beginning of September. Right now it's basically looking the same as the Xbox 360 version, besides the ability to increase the screen resolution and change AA settings. At some point in the future they will be adding a DX11 path and have it visually match the PS4 version.

A PS3 Pinball arcade update I saw posted elsewhere that is apparently taken from their Facebook page:
We've got some pretty cool PSN and T2 news for you today!
We’re on schedule to get Table Pack 15 (Champion Pub™ and Whirlwind™ ) as well as Table Pack 16 (Flight 2000™ and Goin’ Nuts™) released in early to mid September.
Right behind them, we’re doing our best to get Terminator 2: Judgment Day™ out in early October!
Here’s an early screenshot of the PS3 version of T2 for you.
Have a great weekend everyone!

The PSN game Pinballistik is now completely free. It's the game that sparked this thread's bizarre title change.

I hear it's not that great a game, but hey, free is free!

About bloody time we got a new set of tables. I'm a little smarting still from them being given away on PS Plus last month, but not enough to wait on these. That Return of the Jedi table looks cool

Sweet, they finally announced the worst kept secret in Stern Pinball history.
Nope, not buying it. I heard the price will be ~$7800 from distributors for the LE. Fuck that.

Some random thoughts after watching that video...
Holy shit, the return of the kickback! It's about damn time. Those asteroid plastics look pretty cool, but why does the Enterprise look so shitty (edit: Oh, it's not the enterprise, it's Peter Weller's ship)? I'm pretty shocked that this isn't going to be their first LCD screen title, seemed like it would of been a perfect fit. I will say, that I'm jealous that Star Trek gets much cooler side rails and the speaker cover, compared to Metallica LE.
Layout wise it looks like a copy of Spider-man and Star Trek Next Generation. The artwork is a huge step back after the hand drawn awesomeness that is Metallica, it just looks hideous.

Just played some The Champions Pub from Pinball Arcade pack 15. I don't know the real table's rep, but I thought it was fantastic. What a cool and original concept. I love the fights. I need to play it a lot more ( and never even got to Whirlwind), but after a few underwhelming new table packs, I'm really happy with this one.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
FYI, new table pack is out on PS3. It has Flight 2000 and Goin' Nuts.
For those who don't know (I sure didn't) Goin' Nuts is a 1983 game that was never released, only 10 engineering samples were made. This table is, quite litterally, nuts! You get 3 ball multiball for each "ball" and are on a timer. There are no outlanes, just the drain in the middle. I really like it so far and hope to get some more time with it tonight. What's everyone's opinion on Goin' Nuts?
