That does look like fun. I passed on the pre-Beta version that went on sale on PSN accidentally so I could get it for the 360 instead. Had I known I had to wait until February to get it, I might have just picked it up. Anyway, I'll be sure to grab that one once it's out.

Anybody bought any HD pinball games on the android market? Got a cheap table the other day and haven't really perused the market but wanted to see if anyone has any opinions on any (or tell me the ones to stay away from).

I finally bought the new Marvel tables for Live the other day. Really liked them so far but Moon Knight has to be the most confusing table they have released. Granted I didn't commit a lot of playtime on it but I felt like I never knew what was really going on.

That Epic Quest looks awesome. Any updated release news for Pinball Arcade?

Their Facebook says Early 2012, and I've seen a couple of things saying March. They're releasing it on pretty much every current gaming device, and they're still doing beta testing on the mobile versions. I'm guessing they're wanting to wait until all the versions are done so they can do a simultaneous launch across all the platforms.

There's already a game or two scheduled for March 21, so "late March" probably means the 28th.

And the iOS version is scheduled for Thursday, so there's no artificial holding for simul-launches. Just artificial holding to get past XBLA's promotions

Epic Quest is scheduled for next week, the 15th on XBLA and the 14th is the relrelease on PSN. I enjoyed the time I put in on it so far from the PSN screw-up, it's definitely definitely fun and interesting.

Pinball Arcade came out today for iOS and I hear it's awesome. It's 99 cents for the game shell + Arabian Nights. Three other tables are available for $1.99-$3.99 each or $8.99 for the three together. I'll be checking out the base table tonight on my iPad.

I don't think I'll be getting the iOS version, even for that price. I just wasn't that thrilled with the iOS version of Zen and I'd rather just play them on the Xbox, I think.

Sure, they're inferior on iOS, but I think Zen is pretty good for what you get on the iPad, and it's just nice to be able to play a solid pinball game on the road or out of the house. Those tables are $1-$2 each, which is very fair. I think FarSight Studios is out of their mind charging $4 for a single table -- though it is Ripley's Believe It Or Not, which is an awesome, awesome table, iirc. It's pretty clear that some of these tables have big licensing fees and those will be passed directly on to the consumer.

Oh, I know. I got Wolverine and Cap'n on iOS because I wanted to like it more than I do. I have plenty of other games that work better on the go and don't have tactile controls.

Now if Zen or FarSight can support my iCade in a reasonable way...
