Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
For those of you that got to play it on the 360, does it do the same thing it does on the PS3 with the left orbit shot. In that if you don't stop it, it'll fly down the right side, ride up the left flipper, sit on the little divider then spin down the left gutter.

I guess I need a better description because what he was saying sounded like it was going off the board and there was nothing you could do.

Yeah who knows, but shooting left orbit and allowing hte ball to fly around enough to go back UP the left flipper through the inlane then back down the outlane without reacting seems a but like human error too.

I think in general if you don't use the flippers, the ball will drain, right? I don't think that's necessarily a table or an orbit problem.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread
I misremebered it a bit wrong on the PS3, since I hadn't played it in weeks, and it appears to be toned down a bit in the final table, only doing it about a third of the time, but it was the way it would bounce off the left flipper and over. It seems to get way to much bounce off of the tip of the left flipper. It doesn't do anything close to this in the couple of games I've played on the xbox version. I think its a combination of the flipper angles, and the problem Zen Pinball has where the ball gains speed at times instead of losing it. The problem wasn't that I couldn't stop it, the only time it would ever get by me was in multiballs, where at least sometimes it would get me an extra ball. The problem was it just didn't feel right to me, since a shot coming down the way it does is usually a good time to get the ball caught on the other flipper.
Here's a crappy video of what used to happen everytime on the PS3:

I'll post my thoughts on the FX2 version after a few more games.

The xbox one is behaving properly, where it just bounces over.
On a side note, I checked my PS3 balance yesterday, I was at about $2.50 after buying Epic Quest in Dec, and yesterday I was around $5. I'm wondering if I was credited for it once it was removed from the store?

It took me about a minute before I downloaded the full Epic Quest after playing the trial. I hadn't played FX Pinball 2 in quite sometime, but it is a very fun (and it helps I like the theme too) table. Only got a chance to play it three times (since I spent most of the time with Rock Band last night), but I will going back to it for at least the rest of the week.

It's so easy to figure out too. Very accessible table to every and I love that it tells you what to hit so newbies don't have to try to read the lcd display while keeping the ball in play.
I only played twice last night because my second game was pretty long and I got somewhere in the 70M range with a very paltry 400k-ish jackpot value. I did get an epic mace, though!

I can't tell, is it actually easier to score higher at a higher level and with better gear? I have a feeling it just allows you to fight tougher stuff to get better gear, and so on.

Everything I've heard says that your level affects your jackpot and super jackpot values. So it's really about multi-ball.

As you level up, the jackpots increase. Levels and gear are persistent. even at level 30 I still get a measly 1 million per baddie beat, but I get 2.5ish for jackpot, 5ish for super jackpot, and 700k ish for other shots that aren't jackpots.
Using the lotto wheel to your advantage is also something to learn to get the big scores. instant multiball is nice, but you don't have as many jackpot lanes to score with, for example.

By comparison, my level 10ish guy was getting around 400k per jackpot.
The weapons and armor may not give you points bonuses, but they make the battles faster and safer and that increases the rate you can score that "measly" 1M.

Didn't you just ask this yesterday?

Killing stuff quickly comes from combos too. A Shield/Sword/Smash combo is going to take off a lot of damage, regardless of the level of the bad guy, even a Cheerleader Skeleton when compared to two sword strikes.
Also - using your scrolls comes in handy against some later enemies (but then you sacrifice the 2M skillshot guarantee)

Man, there's so much to learn about this table. I just tried it last night once very quickly and had no idea what was going on. It seems like a really innovative table.
Still don't know why all the DLC tables are 50 cents more on the 360 than on the PS3, but with the occasional sale on points cards, that difference is negated anyway.
Also noticed that the Epic Quest table is available for iOS as well and is only 99 cents. I bought it before bed but didn't play it on the iPad yet.
