And how are you guys getting to this list. The instruction booklet says to push square on the quest screen but that just sorts. I have no clue how to get to the echos screen
I'll add you when I get home.

Yes. These aren't mutually exclusive. Are you asking if there is a competitive mode? No, it's a co-op game and can be played as online mutliplayer.

Re: Borderlands

No, it's you against the computer. Completely co-op. There are Duels and Arenas in there to facilitate competitive play, but they're really just novelties.

Not working for me. I see the 3 symbols above the quest log, but I can't move through the icons for some odd reason.

I can't seem to find a PS3 video, but go to 0:39 of the below video (or just don't hit play, since it's showing that part already in the freeze-frame):

Above the quests, below where it says Mission Log, there are three icons -- a trophy (which is the quests), a bunch of medals (which are the lists of in-game accomplishments), and a tape (which allows you to replay conversations). You hit the Y button to cycle between them on the 360; I assume there will be a different button next to those icons on the PS3.

Edit: Should have kept reading. Oh well. Maybe this video helped somehow where pinata's explanation didn't.

Re: Borderlands

finished it....one HELL of a game, and now I am ready to go through a second time co-op. I was level 36 when I finished. I can not recommend this game enough.

The last few quest kicked ass, but one thing...the last boss was EASY... last boss was almost Gears of War 2 easy.

Come on Dragon Age...keep the good game ball rolling!!!!

Re: Borderlands

I'm just pissing around the lands doing challenges now to try to bump up to level 36 before I go to the end. I cheated on the Buying/Selling items ones for a quick 45,000 EXP. I had 42 backpack slots and $1.5M on hand. Just threw everything on the ground and went to the Health store and bought 42 Minor Health Kits for $140 each, then sold them right back for $20 each. Repeated this about 10 times and got them all. Yeah, I lost, uh... 42x120x10... around $50,000 but that's really chump change near the end of the game. I have almost $4M in lifetime earnings because I legitimately sold close to 900 things throughout the journey.

Now I'm looking for a way to get 5 seconds of hangtime to get the 3, 4, and 5 second challenges done. Anyone have a tip on that?

The map with the race track...the very first guy you meet at the top when you get to this map, he has a ramp right off the top there, and you get the hang time easy if you bust a nitro right when you hit it...

Re: Borderlands

I must be boosting too early then. I'll give that a shot because that's the ramp I've been trying.

Re: Borderlands

I didn't read the whole thread, so not sure if anyone mentioned it...

But the game feels like they threw a bunch of games into a blender and pressed the on button

From the obvious Fallout clone, to WoW, to Diablo, to Call of Duty.

I still like it, though.

let us know how that works out...

Man, the New game plus version of this game rocks! It is WAY harder. It is crazy how much fun it is on the second play...I really wish they had a difficulty setting on this game so I could have played it this hard the first time. It makes it that much better. Really the game got easy after the first few hours the first play, but I am at level 42..and it is HARD at times.....love it..

Re: Borderlands

This game has risen to the top as my favorite game. It's ability of endless combinations with four characters and the large world seem to keep you wanting more. Kudos to the Devs on the insane weapon choices and skil ability. I'll probably, dare I say, be bored whenever I pick up a "normal" FPS game like Halo, COD, L4D or GOW with their tiny choice of weapons.

The game has become so fun a friend pointed out, "funny we don't even ask which game we want to play anymore. We just pop in Boardlands and go".

No doubt. Playthrough #2 is way more fun. It actually forces you to specialize your character based on whatever mods and/or weapons you actually have.

It really helps to have a partner to play through it. My buddy and I are having fun with our level 39 Siren and Hunter.

If you ever see me in a party playing, feel free to join up. Especially you low-level noobs that want some quick levels
