Re: Borderlands

Just for kicks.....or punch department.

Two of us are going thru "Zombieland" tonight using just the "Brick" character. We want to use mainly it's Beserker mode and shotgun when needed. We were talking the other night of "what if..." using one character with three or four people. The "Brick" came up using his punch & smash on Zombies and thought it would be a blast. So if anyone has a "Brick" character and want to join we'll be on about 10:00-10:30 Central. And he's a Level 61 and mine is just a 47. Or is someone still has to go thru it we can join and help.

Our next one is using four Siren's using her Phoniex and Hellfire SMG's only while having each with a shield boost. If each player has it on and each player has a shield of 1800 or more we're wondering what we can reach. Just for kicks stuff and laughs.

Re: Borderlands

I'd be down, but don't have a brick and wouldn't be able to level up that fast.

I'd be down for a Siren run. I haven't finished Knoxx yet(haven't played in about a month), so I'm still around a 52-52, but I do have a few good team mods in my inventory.

Oh, K&A, are you still looking for elementals, I have a bunch in the 3-4 point range, mostly soldier and brick.

Hey...thanks for the offer. I've got to check both as to what they have and level. it's kinda weird for my Soldier. He has two at Level 6, one at Level 2 and one at Level 1. Thanks tomy friend last night I took the easy way out in leveling up my Soldier from a 27 to a 50. I just don't have enough slots.

With the Brick I'm almost certain I still need some artifacts but again not sure which till I get home this evening.

On a side note if anyone has or plans to do a Hunter I have all four of the artifacts and sure they're all above Level 40. I don't need the money and hate to toss them out. Probably have a few of the mods as well I'm not using either. I've got six banks going and it gets confusing.

Re: Borderlands

Yeah, I've been losing some good stuff from my loot juggling. I'm a soldier and really need a better shotgun, still using a blast hammer, but nothing has been better off for me yet. (I want to say it's 102x7).

Is there any reason to add lower elmentals when you have the higher levels (besides from being a completest?)

I've started up a Siren, so maybe I can get leveled up in time for when you make that run.

If you already have the higher artifacts then they won't work or in the case you'll get the window saying you cannot use this.

If you want to level up a bit faster then shoot me an invite if you see me on. In fact we may Level up my Brick tonight before jumping into something else. The best way is find someone in or done with their second play-thru and just park yourself out of the way while they go around and take out everything. The last Boss battle will level you fast while New Haven is good to grab weapons, sell and level up a it.

Re: Borderlands

Thanks, I'll add you tonight. my tag is Stargate SG9er.

I'd be interested in a Hunter corrosive elemental (friend an I are going to run through Knoxx one of these nights, so that would help.

Re: Borderlands

I'd say the hunter, soldier, or siren would be your best bets. I liked the soldier personally just because of the turret he throws out.

Re: Borderlands

Siren is pretty much the "win button". But it does depend on your style a little bit. Are you a run&gunner, a sniper/headshot specialist, a brawler, or a general/all-around balanced fighter?

Re: Borderlands

I agree with both MrX and pinata....it's really a no-lose situation and based on your style of play. Each character has their own special abilty with their mods that enhances the character.

Soldier - the "Throw-out-Turret" with mods geared for the Assault Rifle
Siren - the "Phase Walk" (Phoenix) with mods geared to the SMG's
Hunter - the "Bloodwing" with mods for Pistols and Sniper
Brick - the "Beserker/Melee" with mods for Rocket and Shotgun

Everything you need to know including what all those special mods do here.....

though i was reserved in the Halo universe as need be, i would probably say i was more comfortable as a run & gunner, taking the occasional cover, etc. but i like shooting. i heard Roland might be a good choice...is he the soldier?

Re: Borderlands

Roland is the soldier, but I would recommend Lilith (the Siren) for that style. You can run in, cause havoc, and if things get too intense you can use her special ability (Phasewalk) to quickly disappear, run away, and optionally heal if you pick the proper stats.

Re: Borderlands

I've been using the Soldier and it works well for that style. I just charge in with my shotgun, use the Commando mod for fast rate of fire and ammo-regen, and the special abilities keep my health and shields recharged. If I'm in dire straight I can throw out the turret for more health.

For distance I just have a nice sniper.

Re: Borderlands

Everyone can use everything. You'll just find that their skills and mods enhance certain weapon types making them more likely to use specific types of weapons later in the game.
