I think with the 1500+ shield and the nastiest weapon in the whole game, you'll probably be just fine!

I think my level-up bar moved about a millimeter (on my 50 inch screen) last night.

Viral Trophy:

Does anybody have this on PS3? I don't normally care about this sort of thing, but I'm only missing this and the level 50 trophy.

You'll need to play with a lot more people than just me to get that one.....

Re: Borderlands

Confirmed that the EXP you earned after getting level 50 doesn't retro-act for you.

Also, I KNEW that SMG my friend gave me was hacked cuz it disappeared I've resigned myself to playing splitscreen through the Moxxi arenas using my daughter's silver account as the seed. Even with her at level 2, the enemies in the first 5-round touney were 12. I ripped through them, but it's still excruciatingly slow.

Re: Borderlands

Shall we call that the Corvin Method.

Why are you doing Moxxi if you have Knoxx? (man they like their X's)

Re: Borderlands

Knoxx is reserved for my buddy and my co-op playthrough. That's where our Level 50s get to play again.

Is that how you did Moxxi too? I admit I totally stole the idea from you, but I wasn't sure if that's how you did that.

Re: Borderlands

I haven't bought Moxxi yet. I'm still torn on whether or not I want it. So far no one has really given a compelling reason to buy it. The biggest thing seems to be just for achievement completion. It might be worth a sale purchase down the line to breathe some life back into the game at a later date.

Yea, I'm rarely on before 7 or 8pm Pacific. No worries.

Will do. I have a lvl 50 hunter, 46 soldier, and 36 siren. I'll be gone for most of the day Saturday (going skydiving with some friends), but assuming I make it back alive hopefully I'll be on either Saturday night or sometime on Sunday.

I'm almost positive I have this trophy and I'd be glad to give it to you. Keep looking for me and sooner or later we'll get a game going so you can get that last trophy.

And that's why Borderlands goes to ELEVEN!

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is an add-on pack for Borderlands that adds new guns, new Class Mods, new vehicles, new missions, new enemy types, and increases the level cap to 61. In other words...best add-on ever. Of all time. Forever. The End. ELEVEN!

I kind of have a love/hate thing with the Moxxi DLC. I have enjoyed some of the games but the long tournaments are just so brutal.

Moxxi though is by far the best character in the gain. Her lines are hilarious and she is like an even more awesome version of Harley Quinn.

I think I quit on my Siren around level 36...just when I was finally figuring out how to use her (multiple elemental effects at once), and I lost interest in the Soldier very early on. I like Brick in theory, but less in execution...somehow the idea of running in close rather than using cover and range feels wrong to me. So I'm pretty much Hunter all the way at this point.

Even if I could just cruise around in your second playthrough for a bit, that would be awesome. I'll look out for you Saturday night or Sunday and send you a note on PSN if I see you on.

I don't think you're on my friends list, so I'll send you a request when I get home. I could play for a bit tonight if you have time.

Re: Borderlands

Ack - the new patch modified of some of the more exploitable weapons-farming areas to make them a lot less exploitable, and to keep you working for your loot instead of just saving, quitting and reloading like before.

Re: Borderlands

Last night we played up to some quest where you have to remove 2 roadblocks on Ridgeway (I think). We did that, turned in the quest and quit before going to the next area (Sunken Sea).

Today, we had to start back in T-Bone Junction and fight all the way back there. Hopefully there'll be a few Fast Travel locations in this DLC, otherwise, you'll be doing a lot of covering old ground.

Is it possible to clear out the new patch and go back to the old way of farming?
