So, I finally picked up Final Fight/Magic Sword and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. However...I have a problem which I'll relay to you folks. Hopefully they will fix it. Pause has no purpose outside to save your game (quickly) or exit (or change the screen option). It doesn't actually pause the game. What's worse...if you have a wireless controller and the batteries die, don't expect the game to wait for you. I hope this wasn't done on purpose for some silly arcade game effect (you can't pause an arcade game *babble babble*), it's already bit me in the rear a few times.

Oh, BTW : What are people's take on Zombie Apocolypse? Worth getting at 400 points or just another brainless twin stick shooter? I'm torn, but since I haven't bought a sale XBLA game since.... well actually I can't even remember the last time, I feel like I should maybe get this now.

It is a bit of a brainless twin stick shooter, but I found it to be fun. Playing with others in the game was a good time. It looks great.

OK, that's a feature to keep one player from holding up another in an online drop-in match, which is the default play mode of the game. If you want to avoid that happening, before starting, press the Y button (I think) and change to game mode to Offline. Then you can pause without problem.

Man, XBLA has become so uninteresting lately, it used to be THE reason I was even part of this generation of games.

I wonder if Monkey Island 1 going on sale on the 17th means we'll see the second one on the 19th or 26th. Hopefully Puzzle Quest 2 finds its way sooner than later as well.

I'm just thrilled they seem to be ready to support the damn thing. I'm fine with a only few interesting titles a month (or even less), just as long as they keep the content coming.

I still play Crimson Skies every once in a while (single player only, now). That game was the sole reason for xbox live for me back when it was released. |
