Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
I originally sent it in via mail (not online confirmation) and it never updated so I went through the online process last night to be sure and get a confirmation number.

Wow out of both lists there is a single *new* track I would like to play, American Pie. Of course there are others I already enjoy via RB DLC. Here's hoping Lego Rock Band is a little better with the setlist.

Well, we know about 20 or so of the LEGO setlist, and it's pretty good so far. There are a couple of repeats from GH, but obviously there will be none from RB.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
When I first saw the full tracklist for Band Hero, I thought it was the full tracklist for LEGO. I got excited for Bosstones, but then I noticed all the songs that were already available in RB and realized my mistake.
I'm sure that there will be two Bosstones songs in the future to make them into a "Challenge" like they've done with so many other on-disc artists (Alanis, Steely Dan, Dinosaur Jr., etc.).

If I do pick up Band Hero, it'll be for my 6 year old daughter... She loves Taylor Swift (there is a "no fail" mode, right?).

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
I want Big Country, Airborne Toxic Event and the Kooks. Not enough to get sucked into another Activision money grab. GH5 was fine because I feel like I paid $25 for it ($25 for GH5 / $25 for GHVH). I can live with that because I know I'm getting a crapload of VH tracks I've never seen before.
Still, I would have considered tossing down some bones to have some ATE -- but there's some real garbage on that list... and I'm not looking at anyone in particular here, but "Sugar, We're Going Down" is definitely part of it. It pales in comparison to Jesse McCartney, however.

So far I am only interested in Taylor Swift, Yellowcard, The Kooks and Sugar We're going Down... everything else even remotely interesting to me is already in Rock Band....definitely see this one as a rental.

AFAIK, it's always been October first. Purchase by 10/1 submit by 10/31. It's in the fine print at the bottom.

Obviously most of these songs and artists don't match the audience here at DVDTalk
