I'll be happy when the contest is over so all the talk of being happy when the contest is over will be over.

At least we can all agree that the contest ending is a good thing. ;)

I'm keeping a list of squares that are inelligible for my unneeded tracks at the end of this magical promotion.

I'm keeping track of lowlife parallelograms who will end up with fresh pee in their Ovaltine.

I've already gotten all the songs I want from the list, and a ton of Wii points, smart ass. :p

BTW, I listened to a live version of Chest Fever a few times over the last day and the song has grown on me. I'll probably get every song next week.

I am so incredibly excited for the Janis Joplin cut next week. I think that will be one of the best songs for us vocalists out there just because of the sheer wailing in that song. It is one i imagine folks who really get into the game will be tearing up.

I am just amazed at how many of you actually bought that much Pepsi and somehow stomached it. Pepsi taste like ass and even though I like the idea of free points and songs, I couldn't even bring myself to buy one bottle of the crap. Ugh.

Any way...quick change of subject. I have a newb question.

How do you know once you have unlocked every song on RB? I just unlocked the "Worldwide Sensation" achievement which states that you gain access to every venue in the world. So does that mean every song is now unlocked in my quickplay? Just wanted to make sure.

I was going city by city, playing at each gig. I finally got the worldwide thing and thought that I was almost done with the fucking tour but then it unlocks and opens another goddamn 40 towns and gigs. Argh! Does this tour ever end???

Sorry about the bitch-fest but RB2 tour is ridiculous at how long, drawn out and repetitive it is. I really wanted to at least finish the tour with one instrument but I don't think that may ever happen with the dozens of new gigs that just opened up. Appears it will be just quickplay for me in the future if I have unlocked everything.

Simplest way is to go into Quickplay, sort by "Location", and check if you have 84 songs under the "Rock Band 2" category.

Cool. Thanks Pinata.

That reminds me...I still have yet to download the "free" extra songs that they gave you a code for in the 360 version last year. Does that still work? Was there a time limit on it? How many were there?

Should. Don't think so. 20.

Is it worth downloading or will it just fill up my HD with 20 crappy songs I won't want to play or hear?

Subjective. You can easily check them all out on youtube. It's a package deal so if you like 1, you have to have all 20. As I recall for me, personally, there was only 1 song I couldn't stand (Database Corrupted). But for the most part I was happy with the songs for free.

Is there anything I am missing out on if I don't finish the tour other than unlocking "endless set list?"

No, start on the Tour challenges, at least there you get special outfits and instruments.

I tried this after a Seattle Mariners game today. It was like finding gold! I filled up 1/2 of a cotton candy bucket full of caps. Too bad some of it will end up being "fools gold", but it didn't cost me any more than a few minutes of time after the game.

I think they're all pretty crappy. I wish I could delete songs from the game but luckily Rock Band seems to know what songs I like anyway.

That's what I figured. With a couple hundred songs I like, I figure I can live without cluttering things up with songs I probably won't.

The 20 is totally worth it for the Ghost Hounds. Guitar isn't the most exciting part, but it's a great song. Although, if you enjoy their sound they have a second song up on the marketplace if you really want to avoid the other 19 songs. Here's the drum track:

Between the Buried and Me is good if you can get past the cookie monster vocals.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

The Hollywood Undead song is another good track.

I think when i went through the 20 there were about 5 i actually disliked, 4 or 5 i really liked, and the other 10 i was pretty ambivalent about. Not too shabby for free since they were trying to hit a large variety of tastes.

If you play drums, the twenty has some extremely fun songs. I think there are only one or two songs I really can't stand to play.

Speaking of drums, since I've got TB:RB coming I'm going to Craigslist my original Rock Band drumset, which I've never used. What would be a fair asking price?

Exactly. In fact, I'm considering going in and deleting some of the Harmonix bands' songs from the RB1 import.

Except Bang Camaro. Gotta keep them.
