It's also great that GH5 content seems to be hitting the Rock Band world in either DLC or Lego Rock Band. Personally, I look forward to the announcement of Lego to RB2 music transfer in the near future. Not because I know something, but because it makes the most sense. And Harmonix has consistently made the sensible decisions over the lifespan of the RB series.

I believe they said that the Lego DLC *will* be exportable already. You'd still have to buy the game, but all songs would be able to be exported to your HD. Also, groin

I don't think that Lego exportability has been officially confirmed yet. This thread over at the RB forums is tracking what's been confirmed for Lego Rock Band:

No news on exporting just yet. I would be surprised if it doesn't happen, though.

I can't express how excited I am for the Gorillaz tunes. I love the song choices, and it means that we will now have some awesome rappers in the game - Del tha Funkee Homosapien on Clint Eastwood and De La Soul on Feel Good, Inc. :rock2:

Official Rock Band twitter account posted this about an hour ago:

"You STILL haven't signed up for the RB Newsletter? Today is a good day to! Bottom of this page: http://www.rockband.com/"

This was after the DLC announcement, so maybe we're getting more news later today?

I am totally in the dark on Gorillaz but those tunes are awesome. I might be down for that pack along with Janis and the Who.

100% Agreement. I would find it more than odd that some bands like Vampire Weekend would be featured in the Lego game but not playable on the main platform. And I couldn't imagine Harmonix putting all of the Lego songs into the DLC world vs. some sort of transfer feature.

Did we ever get a number of tracks for Lego Rock Band? Looks like SRP is only $50.

Do we know if it'll be possible to play our DLC in Lego form yet? I'd certainly expect to, but I'd like to know for sure.

That site I linked is an "official" house for the creation of RB tunes, and they were pointed to that Cletus character by one of the dudes in Bang Camaro who claimed him to be the 'next Hendrix'...so my powers of deduction claim that they will map some of this stuff (likely the song on the web page) into the RB Creator thingamajigger.

I'm in for the Gorillaz

So what happened to the Jonas brothers? I was just telling a co-worker how ridiculous that was.

De La Soul provided the soundtrack to my life. And Del's No Need for Alarm is one of the most lyrically satisfying albums.

Wait, you actually believed that? You didn't notice any of the obvious signs that it was a joke?

I would say either "no" or "not yet", on the basis that all of these songs would have to be re-animated for Lego.

Unless there's some sort of animation-mapping between games, which would make sense.

I'd hope they use the same scripting engine for animations, it would just be another 'body' on top of those scripts.
