Not hard enough considering you still posted.

I guess I thought we were speaking figuratively. Or maybe you make it a habit to rant out loud to yourself. Don't let me judge. If that is the case then I guess congratulations on your progress in being able to keep your solitary rage bursts under control.

Did you buy it? I love Duran^2 and I can tolerate that Poker Face song, for what it is.

I ended up passing on the DLC. Not a terribly impressive mash-up, IMO.

Agreed. I didn't think they blended together very well at all. And the other two solo remixed songs do nothing for me.

Sounds epic. I essentially got the first game for free, so I'm definitely up for buying this one. Just can't decide if I should stick with my slightly defective PS3 turntable (the knobby-button sticks a little bit) and just get the game, or buy the game+turntable PS3 version , OR get the 360 version, which I would prefer if there's some cross compatibility with the Guitar Hero games (all of which I own on 360, not PS3).

Decisions, decisions...

Thought I would post this here as well since not everyone checks the video game deals threads. Great deal:

Kinda surprised this hasn't been posted yet (credit goes to CAG) but you can go to Best Buy and get DJ Hero for $40 and an extra turntable for free. It doesn't work online but I used online to check the store's stock. I bought mine today and it worked easy as pie.

They will ring them both up but once once the clerk hits total, it gives them the pop-up that the extra turntable is free. Always wanted to try this game but didn't really want to pay much for it. They must be trying to get rid of some stock.

Well..they do have a new bundle that's like $150 coming in 2 months. An option that is $40-$50 in most places probably wouldn't do them any favors. ;)

That's a stupid awesome deal. Congrats. The game is awesome.

So these turntables will work just fine with DJ Hero 2?

Correct. They aren't making any functional changes to the turntables that I'm aware of. All changes in DJ Hero 2 are gameplay changes.

I have spent a couple of hours with the game and am pleasantly surprised how much fun it is. Not being a fan of mash-ups or hip-hop, I have mixed feeling about the game before trying but find that the music doesn't bother me much since the game itself is so engrossing.

I saw there isn't much DLC provided but out of what there is, any really worth the extra money?

And what do you guys keep the turntable in to keep from dust getting all over it? I looked around but was kinda surprised that I have not been able to find a cover for it online. Found some cool looking skins though.

The Public Enemy/Gorillaz DLC track is my favorite in the game.

The one it comes with is also pretty enjoyable.

Outside of those and the free Lady Gaga one a bit ago, I haven't purchased any of the others.

Worked for me, thanks

$50 game bundle + $60 extra turntable = $40, some how that works

Glad I waited off the 9 months and didn't spend $100 on just the game bundle

$40 - It'd be nice to pick up a second turntable.

@ sauce - just think, I plunked down $200 for the Renegade Edition. I do love it so much though.

Is it possible that the setlist for this game is almost too long? I've been playing for a week and still have like 10 sets to unlock.

no. 80% of the reason I bought the game was for the Daft Punk and Jay-Z mixes. I just got to Jay-Z and still have another 40 stars to get Daft Punk.

I'm enjoying the game, but just wish I could skip past some of the mediocre mash-ups.

superfro 08-20-10 09:44 AM

Re: The Official DJ Hero Thread of BPMs, Faders and Scratches

Well if you mainly bought the game for like 10% of the tracks, then yeah, you're probably going to run into that issue.

In that case getting to those Daft Punk/Jay Z tracks is going to be the least of your concerns. :)
