WOW .....they nailed the Predator vision and sounds. Besides be able to play each of the three characters you also have the other two going at it. As in the case the Predator is watching the Marines and Aliens going at it. And just a reminder...there is going to be a demo.

wow thanks for posting that, the trailers thus far have had such quick cuts you didn't get to see much continuous gameplay footage. This looks great, I definitely think I'll be picking this up.

Is this online multiplayer only? It would seem to have high replay value if you could play single player through three different times with each playthrough being uniquely different.

No, there are three campaigns for each character. The multiplayer in these games is like the icing on the cake.

Iirc all demos are Gold members only for a week or somesuch.

I'm a little concerned with the dark levels. Check out this preview of the Marines single player campaign. That looks really dark, and my TV doesn't handle dark games very well.

Aside from that, it looks like a lot of fun. I wasn't paying much attention to this game. But it might be a sleeper hit.

playing as a predator looks awesome .. will definately pick this one up

The dark marine levels are a carryover from the original game. You see the guy throw some flares at the 56 second mark and that was how the marines operated in the original. Flares to light your area or toss ahead in the hallway. In the first game you could have several flares out at a time so it wasn't a rare resource.

I wonder if they kept one of the other great aspects of playing as a marine: you have unlimited flares but can only throw a certain amount in a given area and while you have night vision(aka the image intensifier) turning it on disables your motion tracker. Really made for some tough choices on how to proceed into dark unexplored areas. The more I see this I think this will be a day 1 purchase for me.

As to the dark levels the reasoning is to keep the game with the same atmosphere as seen in the movies. I wouldn't want this set in broad daylight in some street scene. I played (and still have) the pc version classic "Aliens vs Predator 2" from 2001. It was dark, downright scarry at times and kept you guessing most of the time. From my understanding the maps will have both "Alien" and "Predator" movie look. Outside jungle for Predator and inside very much like the Aliens movie.

the marine levels remind me alot of doom 3. omg i loved doom 3 so i am gonna eat this game up.

I hope they have the mode from the PC game where your a marine at a crash site and have to survive a bunch of aliens trying to get you and your friends... that was awesome with friends.

It was like the horde mode all the games have been including lately.
