That was one of the more confusing missions. You should have been given a chance to redo it right after it ended.

Apparently I screwed up that mission too. I thought I'd completed it, but when the game was over and I was checking my achievements I noticed I didn't get that one. I'd been thinking it was a bug.

New Mass Effect 2 DLC Hits A Snag
Fans will have to sit tight a little while longer.
by Jim Reilly

Mass Effect 2 fans will have to continue to wait.

The latest downloadable content, Kasumi's Stolen Memory, is currently unavailable for download through Xbox Live. BioWare planned to release the extra content this morning, but has since run into server troubles.

An Electronic Arts spokesperson told IGN the publisher is working with Microsoft to resolve the issue.

"We're working with MS to resolve the issue and plan to get it up as soon as possible," the representative said.
ugh, I wish Bioware would have posted this in the morning so I could have made some Fallout 3 progress instead of waiting around for this to be released.

And it's now available. You have to go into the game add-ons section in the marketplace

Just played through the Kasumi DLC.

I didn't pay attention to the clock, but I don't think it took more than 30-40 minutes to play through. It's similar to the other loyalty missions except in this one it's only Shepard and her, no other teammates.

It's hard to judge by just this mission, but I don't think she's a character I would have used much if she was available when I played through the main story.

I d/l the content and plan to get to it soon but I never expected it to reach the hour / hour and a half the dev's were stating it would take to play. I wanted to have the character just in case she came in handy for ME3.

anyone else get this?...as much as I hate to pay 560 points for 30 minutes of gameplay I will never repeat (compared to 30 minutes for Left 4 dead 1 for 560 points that was played over and over again) I can't deny the pull this game has...

I played through it earlier this afternoon and enjoyed it. Its short, yes, but I had fun with it and Kasumi seems like an interesting enough character.

Do you get to romance Kasumi later on? I'm afraid this DLC is like the Zaeed one where it is a short mission, and the guy always says the same thing anytime you talk to him.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC

It's exactly like the Zaeed one, you examine various things in the area she's hanging out in and she has a story about it and then says the same things every time you talk to her with no chance for a reply from you. I was hoping there was a chance to romance her but she says something like "I see Miranda smiling while she's working and it's all thanks to you"

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC

I think the value in Kasumi isn't so much her mission as it is having a new team member available throughout the game. Of course, with so many team members available out of the box, YMMV as to whether it's worth the points for one more.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC

Even though it's short, I'll probably still spring for it since there's nothing left in the game for me to do, but I still want to go back and tool around in the game's universe - not to mention, I still need some credits for some upgrades I couldn't afford.

I think I found around 30,000 credits on Kasumi's mission. That was one thing I noticed while playing was it seemed like there were more credits than in other areas.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC

So I did the Kasumi DLC late last night. Overall, I'd say it was worth it. I took my time and it took me about an hour. Besides being a good mission, you also get a new gun, new casual outfit, credits to buy stuff you couldn't before and heck, a new teammate to add to your roster - I sorta wish this was available before I finished the game though. So while it's not super long, I think this DLC is worth it as seen from a quality rather than quantity perspective. The mission hits all the right notes for a cool Mass Effect mission. And it has a pretty damn cool "renegade" QTE.

As far as the choice at the end, how did you guys choose?
Spoiler:
I went with keeping the greybox rather than destroying it because of the little tidbit of it having some dirt on the Alliance and their shenanigans - which could possibly be addressed in an upcoming DLC or ME3?

Something weird about the new DLC

Spoiler:
In the very back, there's an outside deck. Around the corner it gives you the opportunity to access the back of Hock's place. There's a few air vents and 2 guards. You take out the guards and then......nothing. I couldn't figure out what to do next. The force barrier over the windows was still active. There was no door. There was no way to return the way I came.

I don't know if I broke the game or what, but I had to quit without saving and come back in.

I didn't try that because all the glass had force field protection.

Finished this morning. It took me 32 hours, I think I did nearly everything.

I lost
Spoiler:
Grunt (because he was in charge of the diversion team) and Jack in the final cut scenes (I didn't use her at all in the last levels, so I have no idea why. It might be just because she was only one of two who weren't loyal?)

Finished last night, about 33 hours. Only lost
Spoiler:
Jack, who went from loyal to normal after some spat with Miranda and I never could bring her back around.

Great ending all I around, very epic game indeed (but NO )!@(#*(!@# MINING next time!).

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC

I made some fortuitous decisions in the final mission and everyone made it out alive, which made me very happy. However...
Spoiler:
The Illusive Man convinced me to spare the Collector base. After seeing the ending, I wonder if that was a bad decision. Still, I went with my gut, so that's the save I'll carry over into ME3.
I think ME2 is my favorite game of this generation, and probably in my top 5 games ever.

I did the opposite, so I guess we'll see. Can't wait to find out. Also agree in the Top 5 games ever, for sure...
