Ugh, played the game for an hour, went to the gym, tried to play again but my xbox red ringed. Wish I could've at least had a full day with it. Guess I'll try to fix it myself since it's out of warranty.

I've had nothing but trouble connecting on Live with Battlefield 1943. Went to the forums for help and found many threads with similar issues and people upset at EA's lousy servers.Originally Posted by nickdawgy

Finally beat ME1 today and loved it, but I can wait out all this stuff before grabbing the second one.

Oh, for anyone that was crying about it, I had no problem importing my ME1 character with my profile on my Memory Unit. The saves were on the HDD but it all worked seamlessly.
#305
did you have to transfer your profile over to the HDD? Or did it work off the memory unit?

Did you not read my post
It worked just fine off the MU.Quote:
Can't say because I never changed the defaults on ME1. There was a section where you can modify them again, but I don't know if it starts with your ME1 settings or just the default again.Originally Posted by slop101

So I now have a copy of both the Collector's Edition and the normal edition and don't know which to open. Are the special gun and armor from the CE the only things I'd lose game content-wise or is there more to it?

ha I read it. I just didn't understand if you were saying to all the MU complainers how easy it was to transfer to HDD, or it worked from the MU outright.

Mass Effect 2 already up to 1015 total Gamerscore. Guess MS is letting EA/BW bend the rules on this shit.

download dlc. been playing fine. but when you get better armor/weapon off the bat, it pisses me off that you can't use them b/c of their ridiculous server shit.Originally Posted by nickdawgy

I spent all the time importing in my character, doing the intro stuff, then picked my class. Immediately after I picked Engineer, and continued on, I regretted I didn't pick Vanguard, so now I have to redo everything! Maybe by the time I go to bed I'll actually get to play the damn game.

I played it for a few hours this afternoon and am liking it, I really like what they've done with the combat.
I think I've already used biotics more times in this game than I did all of the first game

Well, I played this for about 5 hours today...
+Combat is more fun. Great cover system.
+The Citadel kinda sucks. Sure, I loved getting drunk and ending up with my head in a toilet, but the rest of it is pretty small.
+The customization on the ship is kinda fun. I didn't realize there's actually a use to buying model ships.
+Do I get to screw my assistant, Kelly? And how about the tattoo chick?
I'm loving it.

+The scanning of planets isn't bad at all. I like how the interface works.
+The Normandy II is a huge ship, and there's a ton to do. The cook is great

-The text seems smaller. Also, the notifications seem to pop up and disappear quickly.
-Why do alot of places not have maps?
-The new hacking/bypass is ridiculous. Couldn't they have stuck with the simple one from before?
Also, spoilered just in case:

I was able to get the DLC that came with the Cerberus Network card easy enough, but the armor and gun that came with another code on another sheet of paper doesn't seem to fit anywhere.
*edit:
I figured it out. It was just way more convoluted than it needed to be, add to that the fact that I already had an account with EA, which I had no idea of.
