Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Ugh, I got sick yesterday, and was in bed all day. Still trying to recover now. The UPS guys always drops stuff off by 3-4pm, and I don't want to miss it.
He'll usually put it on the patio but it's supposed to rain so I dunno. I keep having fucking dreams of him telling me how great the game is and I should have ordered it :( |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
well maybe not. my previous spoiler is a bit cloudy. :)

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Just got my copied delivered from amazon here at work. Now I have to look at it staring at me for the rest of the day, sure to make the day crawl by.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
this whole thing where you go through EA instead of Xbox live for DLC is fucking retarded and has me considering not buying games like this in the future. fucking ridiculous.
even their explanation about redeeming the code here is hazy: http://help.dragonage.com/cgi-bin/ea...&p_faqid=23638 |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
and now i can't even connect to the EA ME2 servers. what a cluster fuck.
rotfl |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Just got this email addendum:
Xbox 360 users DO NOT need to download the file. Simply redeem the code, restart your game and you will get access to the Terminus network. ** if a X360 consumer accidentally downloaded the code to his/her PC - it will show up in their X360 (upon game re-start). |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
May I suggest next time they issue an XBL download code? Just a thought.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Is there a difference between playing as your Mass Effect 1 character versus creating a new one?

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
jesus. still can't connect to the ME2 server. wtf. so much for having exclusive items for preorders when you can't even fucking get them off the god damned server!
|
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Wow, this is a great start! I'm in the middle of ME2's version of the "Eden Prime" mission and I should be back in the office working
|
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
At the end of the first "mission", it gave me a little summary of stuff. Most importantly were all the perks I gained from my Level 60 character import from ME1. It started me as Level 5, a bunch of credits and minerals, and a whole lot of paragon/renegade points.
I had to pull myself away or I wouldn't until tomorrow morning. Stupid adulthood... |

Superfro, if you could confirm that for me when you get a chance, I'd appreciate it. My EA Store copy won't get here for a few days. |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Speaking of the Cerberus Network, the integration into the main menu is really nice. Currently there are 3 entries. The first is a bit about a situation going on in the galaxy and the other two are about DLC (one of which isn't actually there yet).
It's going to be interesting to see how that progresses over time. I can already tell from the 2nd entry that there's going to be some nice stuff to do for each of your teammates to gain their loyalty over the game. Much better than ME1's "use teammate X the majority of the time". Here it seems like you'll get to use everyone more frequently in a single playthrough. |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Did anyone else get this for the PC? I have two DLC items available at the moment:
Spoiler:
There's also the "Blood Dragon Armor" if you bought Dragon Age: Origins. |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Those are the same things on the 360 (though the first won't be there for another day or two).
One thing I noticed about the Zaeed description is that it includes new achievements. I wonder what that means, exactly. I thought Microsoft had rules about that stuff. There's supposed to be a delayed window for updates to the original 1000. I don't think they can hit near release like this. If it isn't new achievements beyond the 1000, then that means people without Cerberus can't get all 1000 on-disc achievements. That's also a big no-no. It's strange to me... |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Ugh....I don't have my 360 connected and don't normally mess with DLC, but I notice on the insert there is a whole character you can download, Zaeed?
Its a pain in the butt to get my 360 hooked up online. Is there a way to download it to PC and burn it to cd or something? I'm sure thats unpossible.... |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
How long can I play the game before the Zaeed character would come into play? If I have some time, I'll just download him later. I want to get some actual play time in today!
|
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
I have never been a fan of agreeing to EA's stupid terms and connecting to their server everytime I play one of their games.
EA is like the Scott Boras of video games. |
