Robo knows he's wrong, but by now he's taken it too far to admit so.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
I'm about ready to punch somebody in the face over this DLC code shit. All the information tells me to go online and redeem my codes. Since they're shorter than normal Xbox codes I assumed that's what needed to happen. I redeem them all on the Mass Effect site and they all prompt me to download .EXE files. Uh...I'm not playing the PC version. So then I boot up the game and it asks for my code at the front, which of course now says it's already in use.
What. The. Fuck. |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Yikes! What a clusterfuck.
Can you go back to the store and exchange for a new copy? |

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
doesnt it work just like dragon age where you do it in-game?
|
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Evidently it does, Chris, but not everyone has played DA. Also, as they wrote, the instructions said do it online.
|
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Not even going to read this thread for fear of spoilers. I'll only come in here to say that this game will be waiting for me at my house after work today. SO excited!

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
yeah, i was confused by this, too. i popped in the game and entered the cerebus thing by making an EA account through the Xbox, but not sure what to do with the other code for gamestop freebies.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Here's what the card in the box says:
Below is your single-use code to activate the Cerberus Network, an online-enabled system providing access to included bonus downloadable content. To use this code, you must have a free EA Online account. If you do not already have an account, you can create one within MASS EFFECT 2 or by visiting EA.com and clicking "Register." After successfully logging in to your EA Online account, enter this code at the redemption screen. |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Getting impatient with UPS. The game left a facility about 20 min away from me at 7 am. Figure it's gotta be here soon but who knows.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Dang that's frustrating about the free DLC. I'll be picking up my copy today hopefully.

So, it's very unclear where you enter that code. It says you can create your account either through the game or online, but nowhere does it say you have to enter this code through the game. Terrible wording. problem is now i'm having a tough time figuring out where to enter the code from gamestop. nowhere on the main menu screen. i assume it's in game, so i'll have to start it up and try. |

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Real men don't read instructions!
I'm glad I read this first though before my copy arrives later today  |
Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
don't read unless you've started the game already.
