Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Just in time for Douchebag then!

Those were almost always funny...or at least they were until the douchebags figured out that the truly douchey thing was to use non-douchey weapons despite the rules. I guess at this point, douchebag would just be me getting mined and binoc'ed by everybody.

I really think when I get back that we should just set up an open server and gangbang anybody who drops in until they rage quit...maybe even teamkill them a little bit.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I have and my request is being processed. However since I work for the govt. I know I may have to put in multiple requests which take lots of time. Then I wouldn't have time to make things like my above post or Warhawk. It's a vicious circle.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Hey, bros,

I've seen a few of you on the battlefield this week and I thought I'd finally check in here, too. Yes, we had our new baby girl on Sunday, September 4 and she is, of course, the most amazing, beautiful, and intelligent newborn who has ever existed. So, you know, just like every other newborn. Sincerely, though, the last ten days have been an amazing ride so far and I can't wait to see what's next.

Real quick on the birth story: my wife and I went out to eat on Saturday night at one of our favorite restaurants and had some new food items we hadn't tried before. I was up all night with horrible food poisoning and after a few hours my wife had it, too. We called the restaurant and told them what we both ate and went back to bed. After a few more hours, my wife said she thinks she has more than food poisoning, that it's likely labor, too. We get to the hospital at around 3:00pm. They check and she's fully dilated - she did her full labor at home because we had matching food poisoning symptoms! They wheel her into the delivery room and twenty minutes later, we have the baby. No time for our girl to be a conehead through prolonged pushing - the little roundhead was a quick delivery and the midwife had to laugh at how quickly it all went.

As for Warhawk Wednesdays, I'm usually home between 9:00pm-9:30pm CST so if the gang is still in full-swing, I'll do my best to participate as often as I can. How late will you go, CST?

Since I will likely work every Wednesday night until I retire (minus some summer nights), I'd like to toss out a request: I'd be bummed to know that I'd be missing knives-and-grenades and other hilarious insanity every week yet having to suffer through the Warhawks-only map every week because of the traditional map order. Doesn't float my boat. Is there any way the traditional order can be shaken up a bit?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Flip-- can you host tomorrow night? Or should I figure out how to set it all up?

Spatula plans to show up tomorrow night and would like a knives and 'nades thrown in toward the end.

r2 has said he should be able to make it as has Slider (after 9:30 EST). nic44 also suggested that he should be able to make an appearance.

Who else is in?

I'm currently laid out with a lovely fever and sinus issues. I don't hink you can count on me being conscious tomorrow night. I think we need to initiate our contingency plan.

Ew. I'm sorry to hear that. If you get a second and feel up to it and can give me an idea of the sorts of maps, etc that you typically run, that'd be awesome. If not, I'll wing it.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I've been running most maps for 15 minutes, except the lobby (20-30) and the dogfight (10).

The last set I ran was this:

Lobby: Eucadia DM - High City
Destroyed Capitol TDM - Garden Showdown
Archipelago CtF - Close Corridors
Archipelago Ctf - Acropolis Assault**
Eucadia CtF - Urban Strike
Vaporfield Glacier CtF - Grinder (7 score limit)
Island Outpost CtF - over the Bridges
Archipelago TDM - Dogfight
The Badlands Collection - Fortress*** (score limit 100)
Tau Crater TDM - Crater Clash

But feel free to sub in your own maps as you see fit. Keep to the smallest maps. At best we've had 6 online lately. let me know if you have any more questions...

Make sure that All Talk, Randomize Teams are checked. Uncheck balance teams.

A warm head and a couple sniffles is a pretty weak excuse there, flippy boy.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

It doesn't mean I won't show up.... it just means I wanted to make sure we had a game if I took some meds and passed out on the couch.

besides we need a backup hoster anyway. He might as well learn the trade.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Spatula plans to show up late and wants a knives and 'nades match. So, I plan on running your 10 map rotation and then running the lobby a second time, since a number of people will miss the first lobby and, frankly, it's a lot of fun.

I'm firing things up around 8:30 EST/7:30 CST in hopes of catching people early enough that they haven't jumped into other games but still having stuff going when the stragglers come in. I get the impression that Slider won't be in until about 9:30 EST and Spatula maybe 10:30 EST.

Sound good?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

What is the map where there are two big, industrial style garages serving as home bases... and the little vehicles... we used to play CTF on it a fair amount?

EDIT: Grinder

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

A decent turn out tonight-- I only had to wait around about an hour to an hour and a half for you jokers to show up. r2, nic44, cruz, spatula, slider, and me (just in case chess is counting).
