Recent lobbies that have worked well:
Island Outpost: Bridge Out (big and slower paced)
Eucadia: High City (Knives and Nades)
Omega Factory: Hot Zone (tall buildings...lots of ladders)

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Hopefully a good night...had lots of beer to make up for missing the game.
I'd imagine you guys are wrapping up about now...or maybe a bit earlier with some shorter maps. How'd it go???
Hopefully Flip didn't fuck up the hosting again.

Epic douche? Just the one map, or all night?
How was the turnout? Wasn't sure whether my guys would still make it.

The turnout was a little lackluster. Did we ever have 8 on at one time? But even though the turnout was light, we managed an all-star squad of douchebags and wannabees.
Douchebag was fun, but it needs some tweaks. The map, specifically. There wasn't any mines on the Tau Crater map. There's also no way for the douchebags to counter Warhawks when all they can use is the TOW in the air (also air mines were allowed). The best way to even this out is to prevent laypeople from using Warhawks... which would really even the playing field. That was the only real difference in the score. We had three in the air versus the douchebags and they had no way to counter it. Either the douchebags get missile turrets or the laypeople get grounded.
I will say this... you'll never have more fun getting binoc'd than you will on Douchebag.
There may have been some ultimate douchebaggery outside the bounds of Douchebag. I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

There were echoes of mild douchiness towards the end of the 4th map. The douchebag match was closer than you would've thought considering the douchbags had no idea where all the goodies were at.
The last 2-3 matches the rules were loosened up and air mines were not discouraged. It was legendary.

I really liked the match where it was just a dogfighting in the warhawks. especially since there was no digi, z or chess to dominate the skies

Then Hudson made the comment that we owned the skies.
I had to laugh. Yes, we pwned the B-team.
I then also reminded him that I've been flying for a year and he just picked the thing up and he's as good (or better) than I am.

Glad Nic came out.
Shao is super-mega-douchey!
There are 2 sets of mines on Tao Crater...thought you guys knew where they were. They're both in the area where you spawn when we play that no-Warhawks TDM. Binocs are both on top of that middle building and on top of the crane. The TOW is at the top of the crashed ship.

There was no trouble with binocs and TOWs. Air mines. Check. But we scoured that damn map looking for mines and nobody could find any.
