Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Well, my interest just went down a little. I figured they picked three non-Dennis DeYoung songs for a reason. I'm guessing they went with re-records to remove his instrument playing and background vocals.

As long as that Solo in Renegade is just as good, i am still in...

I wished both would have received 6 packs so they could add some cheese in there...

But my interest is now leveled with re-records. That is never good...even Margaritaville was significantly worse.

Roll with the Changes will be great to play. No doubt about that one. And how can anyone not want to sing Take It on the Run after this?

Well, it's been running 'round in circles in my mind. I'm up for the 3 classic REO songs. Re-recorded Styx? I'll need to take a listen, but it does sadden me for the most part.

I'd feel bad accepting a cookie, because my prediction was more a complete lie.

Def in for all the REO. If the Styx re-records aren't bad, I'll get the pack. I totally could have gone for a 6 or more pack of just REO.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Here's a version of "Renegade" sans Dennis DeYoung's "YEEEAAAHHH!" and backing vocals.

I really don't have any worries about Styx re-records, since Tommy Shaw always sounds great.

Sorry to say I told you so, but:

It will be one of the most boring bass songs EVER. Hmmm let's see......C......some more C.......wait.....OK more C, etc.

I may check out the 3 classic Styx tracks but I'll have to hear how the re-records sound via YouTube fist. The REO.....can stay at PSN.

Decent group of songs, but I'm not too excited about the re-records.

But bassists are used to not doing much anyway. It just makes it more realistic.

Haha. I was a bassist back in my high school cheese rock band. I know it's not really true. Just laughing along with the accusations.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

A man went to a brain store to get some brain for dinner. He sees a sign remarking on the quality of professional brain offered at this particular brain store. So he asks the butcher:
"How much for Engineer brain?"
"3 dollars an ounce."
"How much for doctor brain?"
"5 dollars an ounce."
"How much for bass player brain?"
"90 dollars an ounce."
"Why is bass player brain so much more?"
"Do you know how many bass players need to die to get one ounce of brain?"

I'll put an end to the prediction comparisons with this one back from 1997.

Ok, I'm ready for some Yes, Supertramp, and Chicago. What's the hold up, HMX!? What have you done for me lately?
