I'm Still Alive

This week's Challenge is in honor of Pearl Jam's Ten being released later this month. I may not be able to do a Challenge next week, but wanted to get this one in.

Description: Play Pearl Jam - Alive on Guitar, Drums and Vocals. One song, three scores. Once again, highest overall score takes home the win.

How Long: 1 Week. Challenge ends 12AM EST on Monday, 3/23/09.


Also, remember this is the last night to submit scores for Challenge #3.

Just submitted for #3. I don't stand a chance though because TX Flood is a VERY low scorer for vocal. It's all in fun so who cares? :-) Lookig forward to #4. I have not even taken the guitar out of the packing! :-) I really want the AWB song in the funk pack and there are no vocals on it so now is as good a time as any to break out he instruments.

I'll do a "free songs" challenge at some point for the "Still Alive" lovin'.

I'm trying to stray away from DLC-only challenges, as that alienates people (or forces them to buy tracks). I know a couple people bought some DLC for this challenge, which is awesome. Both DLC tracks that were optional for Challenge #3 (Texas Flood and Clouds Over California) are great tracks!

"Alive" is a great song choice for the new challenge ... fun song, challenging but not extremely difficult, and ranked the same on all instruments.

I didn't think I had a shot since Texas Flood has such a low ceiling for guitar. But it's so choice I couldn't pass it up!

Not that I ever have a chance at winning a challenge, but I just want to participate so that it's worthwhile for Shag to do. Congrats to those that go all out to post amazing scores. It's a nice break from all the hours I put into CoD.

Yeah, I'll do all the challenges as long as they're songs I can tolerate. I'll never be on the "leaderboards," (although I don't know half the names on there - who are Rattlehead and sandman642? :p) but it's fun just the same.

And I agree the Alive challenge should be good - I haven't done any singing or drumming in months, and was never that good, so we'll see how it goes. :lol:

I'm going to get creamed since one of my drum pads don't work. :hump: Doesn't help that I'm a horrible drummer too.
