I believe that's the rumour. I can't confirm or deny anything right now.

I can't believe there's no love for Nickelback here, they have some pretty good songs, of course those songs aren't the one's you hear on the radio.

One a recent drinking binge, two friends of mine got so toasted they were singing Barenaked Ladies songs in the style of Nickelback. Their set list consisted of Yoko Ono, One Week and If I Had a Million Dollars.

It was by far the best rendition of Nickelback I'd ever heard.

I'm pretty sure they sound exactly the same as the ones we've heard on the radio.

I actually have no idea about these songs. So, I wasn't lying. Don't know what the songs are, don't know if they're next week or anything.

I think it was the implication that was pointed out however.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

These Rock Band threads are just drama magnets.

We'll know soon enough if the leaked Alt-Country Pack is legit. If it is, I hope they throw in something else extra for next week, but I sort of doubt that they will based on the past two weeks having only 3 tracks each. I listened to the Drive-By Truckers track and was not a fan, so hopefully I'll like at least a couple of the other tracks in the pack.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I'm hoping the "Christmas Slump" is over soon as well. They said the reason for the 3-packs the last few weeks were that this was the DLC they were working on over the holidays, but I would imagine that they have at least some DLC stockpiled and aren't running this thing on a 4-6 week window.

Hopefully they'll go back to their 6+ tracks a week soon.

Just got the Rock Band Stage Kit. Love it, but man that's a lot of fog. Had to crack a window and turn that part off. Best Buy has it for $80. And thanks to my $55 in reward zone coupons I got it for $25. Totally worth it. Now I just need people to be over to enjoy it with.

They also had piles of the stage kits at Circuit City for 30 or 40% off.

If you can find one at Circuit City, I think they're around $50 or so now, which isn't too bad. I love mine as well!

I like the addition of more funk (and more genres in general), but this one looks a pretty repetitive. The crowd singing along with the main trumpet line in the beginning is crazy awesome though!

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Pretty close the the songs I wanted or expected to see from the alt-country pack. But no matter how much I've enjoyed pretty much all the live tracks so far, I still cringe when I see that word. I'll be grabbing Jimmy Eat World as well.

I really do want that AWB track.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Regarding the stage kit, can you use just the lightning but not the fog? I have no windows in the basement and I don't want to run the fog but the lights would be awesome.

Yeah, there are two switches on the unit. One for master (lights), and one for fog.
