Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I believe Konami sued them first for things like "game that uses falling gems to the rhythm of music" and "game using guitar-shaped peripheral where you push buttons in time with the notes". I'm sure HMX suing (if this is even legit, it is Kotaku) is just to get Konami off their back.

You know, there's more than one hip-hop band that played instruments:

Only 90 minutes! I love the new schedule as it frees up my afternoon to actually work.

I used to not do anything all morning waiting for it and then nothing after it, discussing and listening. Now I'll have all that done by lunch

I'm in for More Human Than Human and maybe Black Sunshine. I don't know Wasted Again so I'll have to check it out. Was just listening to White Zombie the other day. Very excited about this.

Definitely in for White Zombie, and possibly Turbonegro. I'm very surprised though that it is another 3 song week.

Only 3 again Not much variety either. Might consider MHTH in the future. Only 5 more weeks until Ten!

But, finally! Turbonegro! I've been waiting for this one forever...

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Wasted Again sounds fairly decent after a couple listens. It gets way better in the 2nd half. I thought the guitar during the first verse sounded pretty repetitive, but it didn't seem like that later on.

White Zombie stuff will probably be pretty fun for drummers, but I'm not so sure about vocalists.

Is anybody pissed off that there are 3 Zombie songs just 3 weeks apart and they weren't bundled? I'm not interested in a pack and I'm pissed off on behalf of Zombie fans.

I had to listen to Black Sunshine to refresh my memory on it. Sounds like Bassists will be getting a workout on that one. Not sure if I'll pick this one up, but will MHTH.

I'll probably pick up MHTH and wait and see about Black Sunshine. I really wasn't crazy about that one in GH3.

Possibly why we're seeing fewer tracks right now per week:

That's cool that they at least posted an explanation for the sudden slowdown in songs released. Hopefully this picks up the following week. I'd be a bit disappointed if the only thing we see that week is the "alt-country" pack.

  • Rob Zombie: No thanks
  • White Zombie: See above
  • Spider, brother of Rob Zombie: Might be easy songs but I'd probably be up for them
  • The Cranberries - Zombie: Who are we mistaken? I'll buy the hell out of this

No one cares about this? Granted it's only 50 cents (maybe he's after Snoop and Tupac?), but to me it's the principle of the thing.
