I can't decide if I would have thought it to be cool or lame to play games with my teachers back in middle school

I think most of them think it would be cool because of a couple reasons:

1. Chances are they are better than the teacher.
2. It gives them the possibility of talking about the game the next day and hopefully distracting said teacher from making them do work.

Re: Finding time for video games

I don't know what it is. I read many gaming magazines, listen to podcasts, lurk on here and other websites, yet I hardly ever play games anymore. Sure, I played the monster hits this holiday season like Gears 2, Fable II, Call of Duty 5, but since then I just am never in the mood to game. I would rather spend my free nights watching movies, reading, or following the NBA.

I guess it's because games require a lot of dedication. I was never the type of gamer to play 30 minutes a night, I like to do long sessions, so that's probably why.

This is my schedule exactly (except for the hospital). This is why I just couldn't get into Fallout 3 and sold it--the time committment was just WAY too much. I need a game I can jump in for a while and jump out (Call of Duty, GTA, GOW, etc.).

With the ability to save anywhere I'd say Fallout 3 is easy to jump in an out of. Certainly no more time consuming than GTA, is it?

Yeah, I can understand GoW and COD, but GTA4? That's kinda the same system as Fallout 3. OTH, Fallout is more addictive, it may take more time to finish a mission/quest, etc.
