I grabbed this today at my local Target for $9.99 (or something like that).

Isn't there a new edition of RE5 soon to be released? Or will it be DLC?

There is a new version on the way. I'm sure the extra game content will be DLC at some point. I figured I'd take the chance for $10.

Warning to those who played the demo and are thinking of picking this up. The demo is extremely misleading, so you'll want to read up on the game first.

It's a chill-out thing, yeah. But I've played it a number of times over the last couple of years. I really like it for what it is... I actually enjoy diddling around with this more than Flower, but Flower is a visual masterpiece whereas flow is just kinda trippy.

Newegg has Dark Sector/Crackdown/XBOX 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack for $14.99 shipped. People are complaining about the battery being junk. But it's a nice price for two fun games.

Yes, without the RTS stuff (which you do not do in the demo) this game would have been much better. The RTS has really kept me from revisiting and finishing this game though.

I think $20 is a good price for it. It does some things wrong but there's still a lot of fun to be had.

I'm still on the fence about Brutal Legend. It's nice that Best Buy still has the free Rock Band Track Pack code included, giving you more value for your $, but still, I haven't even opened Assassin's Creed 2 for cristsake. When the hell am I going to get around to playing this? Since this came out, I've wondered how much fun it would be for someone who hates Metal. I'm not sure it's my kind of game, though I always appreciate humor in a good game.

Brutal Legend doesn't suck as much as everyone says. Yes the RTS part took everyone by surprise. No it doesn't control well. No it doesn't make it unplayable. The RTS is so very dumbed-down that it doesn't make that much difference.

The world and the style and the humor are more than enough for me to recommend it to people.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The RTS part of BL is pretty easy to get the hang of because each battle is the same thing over and over, just with more area to cover each time.

I liked the story though.

The Rock Band Track Pack code expired at the end of last year. So don't count that towards the purchase.

I figured for $20, worst case scenario is I hate it and sell it on e bay, amazon, or TRU

The folks on CAG are confirming that though the code has officially expired, it still works.

Well shit. I dug through a stack of them to find one that didn't have it printed on the cover since it was expired. Oh well.

I really enjoyed the game and think it is well worth $20. The RTS was something I wasn't great at, but it is simplified enough in BL where anyone can handle it and beat the game.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Free Peggle Nights game for PC or Mac download from Pop Cap Games for signing up for their newsletter. That's a pretty nice give-away. They want you to gift the game, but you can use it yourself if you like. (BTW Peggle Nights is DLC on the 360, but it's a stand-alone game on the PC so you don't need the original Peggle game to play this).

Dante's Inferno is down to $39.99 already at Hastings. (+shipping)

It's also $45.99 at Amazon.

I'll wait for the sub $30 range.

Does one have more content than the other? Differences?
