Got an email today that Mortal Kombat X is only $39.99 at GameStop

Also, Far Cry 4 is only $19.99

That's a good price point for me to get MK. Just curious, Is Far Cry 4 any good? It's a first person shooter right? Would any of you get it for $20?

I would've paid full price for it.

I hadn't played any of the other games in the series, but I had a blast with this one. The many different ways to take down the bases (throwing in meat to lure animals, unleashing caged elephants, stealth, blowing everything to complete hell, etc.) inspires a lot of creativity, the gyrocopter is one of the most fun methods of traversal in any FPS I've played, there's tons of stuff to do/craft/find without feeling as overwhelming as something like Assassin's Creed, it's crazy gorgeous... Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Thanks Adam

I might make my way to Gamestop today or tomorrow

Far Cry 4 was excellent and had fun with it...though still need to finish it. It's just a big sandbox of anything can happen between you, the good guys, the bad guys and the wildlife. Anytime you and a buddy can hop on a pair of elephants, ride into a fortress, stomping vehicles, throwing bad guys around with a rocket launcher can't be anything but a blast.....FWIW, I did the preorder with the season pass and it was well worth it. Anything under $30.00 should be called thievery and robbery.

FYI, Amazon has pm'd both Mortal Kombat & Far Cry, if anyone would rather buy there than Gamestop. And as others have said Far Cry is absolutely worth $20. It's a wonderful game.

I'm not huge into phone games, but I have to throw this one out there. Easily the most entertaining phone game in recent memory. Totally worth 99 cents.

In case anyone is feeling cash-poor, Amazon has frequently priced Far Cry 4 at $20. I've never played the series, but it looks like something I would dig so I put it in my shopping cart a few months ago and it's often dipped to that level.

But maybe I should drop it from my cart and sign up for Best Buy instead. :D

Never played far cry but heard enough to point it was worth the buy at 20.00. I'll start playing tonight

Bought both MKX and Far Cry 4 today. Hopefully I'll get to play them soon.

Best Buy has Dragon Age Inquisition as the deal of the day for $19.99

Shadow of Mordor is also $14.99

I highly recommend both of those if you're on the fence.

Kept telling myself to wait on this or get it from EA Access, but $20 to own it seems better for me. Now to decide whether to get it on PC or XBox.

I've waited this long for it to drop into the Vault, I can wait another 2-4 weeks. I'd rather put that $16 towards another year of EA Access.

Yep, excellent deals. Get both of these games if you haven't played them yet.

Amazon matched the PS4 and XBox One versions of Dragon Age. I have Amazon credit, so I'll grab the XBox version off Amazon.

EDIT: PC version is on sale now on Amazon too, going to switch to PC since I have the previous 2 games on there now.

Sleeping Dogs DE, Tomb Raider DE, Far Cry 4, and Titanfall for XB1? So basically your average XBL sales week?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

That would suck if the majority of stuff is lightning deals. No Prime early access either.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Not very impressive. I'd probably get Borderlands:HC if BB matched so it would be $27.99 after GCU.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Actually, the open boxed warehouse deals is probably one of the better discounts today. You can grab a Vita for about $125, Xbox w/ Kinect $327, Batman LE silver PS4 console $415, etc.

Sweet, first deal I'm biting on today: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Atlas Pro Edition for $59.99. I'll pay that for the game plus all of the DLC.
