Nice upgrade!

I bought the disc version then got the season pass online, and my goal is to play it before the GOTY edition goes supercheap (not by mistake).

Golden Crisp cereal has a $10 off $25 coupon for the Microsoft Store, plus it can be used in combination with either $15 rewards credit or $10 credit on preorders (but not both). You can even use this discount on Xbox Live currency or EA Access.

I saw that on CAG over the weekend, hoping to go to the store today to get a couple boxes so I can get Gears of War and maybe some XBox money.

I went to Ralphs and bought 3 boxes today at $2 each. Worked like a charm. Pre-ordered Gears of War Ultimate Edition for $30 (and expect to get the $15 back in rewards credit), a $25 digital gift card, and now debating whether I should get Rare Replay or not with the last code.

Tempted to run and get a couple more boxes, but I already bought 3 of the 5 they had there with the promo on the box. :p

I'm not huge into phone games, but I have to throw this one out there. Easily the most entertaining phone game in recent memory. Totally worth 99 cents.

http://slickdeals.net/f/7955969-high...nd-google-play

so does this story ever have a happy ending? so far...

Spoiler:

1. Taylor has died trying to climb out of a crater
2. Story spoiler incoming....
Spoiler:
The alien parasites have taken over his body

good game though. definitely worth 99 cents.

Depends on which choices you make. That second part didn't happen to me at all. I got a crappy ending the first time and a slightly better ending after rewinding and trying something different. I checked the reddit thread afterwards and there were whole parts of the story I missed my first time through. I'll definitely play through it again to check out those other paths.

Best Buy's Black Friday in July sale is no great shakes, but the Xbox One crowd can pick up Titanfall for $6.39 Unlocked ($7.99 otherwise) and Fantasia: Music Evolved for $7.99 Unlocked ($9.99 otherwise).

You also get a $50 GC with an Xbox One purchase, and PS4 bundles come with a free PlayStation TV.

If you're not a My Best Buy member, the sale starts tomorrow, but if you are, you can go for it right now.

i've only recently gotten an X1 but titanfall has always interested me. however, it has been out for a long time now and not sure of its viability. is it worth it at this price? do people still play it/how is the community? the map packs are free now right?

thanks

mattysemo247 07-23-15 01:38 PM

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I would say it's worth it since all of the additional maps are free

Decker 07-23-15 03:50 PM

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'll argue the counter position : it's probably more worth putting that $8-$10 towards a year of EA Access which includes Titanfall instead.

So rent the game for $30 a year? ;)

Plus about a dozen others including Dragon Age : Inquisition, yes.

If you're still wanting to play Titanfall in August 2016, I'll sell you my copy. ;)

Gooter 07-24-15 09:53 AM

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Decker, will you sell it be cheaper than $6 and change in 2016? :p

Ended up buying it from BB. It's basically a rent to own at that price.

mattysemo247 07-24-15 10:30 AM

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'm sure it's just me, but I don't see the value of EA Access, regardless of the price. If I want to rent a game, I'll request it from the local library. Other than that, I want to own all of my games, preferable a physical copy if possible.

That is why I actually regret picking up the digital deluxe version of Titanfall during their BF fire sale for $12.50. But at the time, that was the only XB1 game I had since I had just picked up the console.

I prefer digital copies of everything. I'm too lazy to get up and put a disc in anymore. I just want my digital copies to be a little cheaper. All my mobile games, music, and movies are digital.

MLB the show 15 for the PS4 is apparently on sale for $19.99 at Target next week.

If you are a baseball gamer, that's a good deal for a current season game. There's only 2 1/2 months left in the baseball season, so that's probably why the price got slashed.

not sure why anyone would need it but BB has the PS4 camera for $39.99
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-pla...&skuId=8245153

you may have received an email from BB recently (subject: Add more awesome to your PS4) with a $15 off coupon code for the camera or Gold Wireless Headset ... mine was dated 7/21 and good till 8/20

use this coupon to get the camera for around just over $25 shipped

Amazon price matched the $39.99 BB price because .... Amazon
