Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
We will see. Will have it hooked up via ethernet cable to network. PS4 is also hardwired. Wonder if dropping resolution to 720p would make it a bit smoother. Will report back when I get it hooked up.

I wonder if GCU will work on those.

Best Buy is charging tax on these. Are these not tax free? I could have sworn I never paid tax on them before like point cards.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
FYI: if you want a 12+1 card, get the Titanfall one. I did some reading and the Master Chief one says 12+1 but it is actually a 12 month card with a DLC helmet for the game.
I ordered a Titanfall one since I had a BB reward certifcate to burn. Thanks for the post! |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Cool.

I wonder if I contact customer service if they would remove it? |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
NewEgg's running the $40 XBOX Live promotion too, but they're also throwing in a $5 Microsoft giftcard to sweeten the deal.

I'm probably late to the party on this one, but GTA V PS4/XBO is $39.99 on Amazon.

For those questioning sales tax on XBL and other cards/subscriptions, it varies by state and depends on local law. |

This really irritated me, as the subject line on the email they sent was 'Save $50 on a New 3DS XL', then the fine print said it wasn't good on the new one, only the standard.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I have a Radio Shack near me closing down (only a decade or two past its prime). Everything in store is on clearance. I spy some Live & PSN gaming cards hanging on one of the racks. Score!
Not so fast! Everything in the store EXCEPT the gaming cards are on clearance. Radio Shack, even in shuttering the doors you fail miserably. |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
To be fair, there's no need to discount gaming cards as they have no value until purchased - hence no need to actually Clearance them; they can just be destroyed instead.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I figured as much but still worth a shot.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I realize this is currently the same deal as Best Buy, but if you don't have a store by you for whatever reason Rite Aid currently has the Xbox Live 12-month Gold membership for $39.99 with in-store coupon.
|
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
If you need some Xbox credit, you can buy a $25 physical card for $22.50 at Amazon, and a $50 card for $45. Not much, but you'll get a little free money out of the deal.
|
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Seems like they're matching Best Buy, which is doing 10% off gaming cards. Seems like decent free money if you know you're going to buy stuff digitally.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I ordered one with No Rush shipping. Might as well save an extra buck if I can.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
The Best Buy gamers club is on sale for $30. It's supposed to be advertised next week, but some stores are selling it at that price now. Found this pic on cheapassgamer.com:
