Yeah I'm guessing Amazon/Lightning Gold Box, Cyber monday sales will be close enough to not have to worry about going out on Black Friday

You had to change around your store to find one in stock somewhere.

The website went down while I was at the store, but their internal computers were still working, so she price matched it.

That's good! Since Walmart's policy is to not price match their own website.

They are fixing everything it seems. The games that were showing at $18.03 are all out of stock and corrected prices.

They still pull that shit? There's a giant sign when you walk in saying they will pricematch any competitor during the holidays. I guess if walmart.com is not the same company then the would be a competitor, right?

I ordered Disney Infinity (XBox 360) for the same nephew and my niece, and I already picked it up this morning at the $19 price with no problems. I also ordered GTA V for the PS3, but that one is still processing with an estimated site-to-store arrival date next week.

So far:
The Lone Ranger Constitution Train (x1 + I have a second ready at another store)
LOTR: Goblin King Battle

I still have these riding on a single order for shipping:
Lone Ranger: Silver Mine
Lone Ranger: Stage Coach
Castles: Dragon Mountain

Canceled:
LOTR: Mines of Moria (2 different orders, 2 different stores)

I have two girls so none of these appeal to them. I might repurpose the train to add to the Winter Village series somehow. The rest will be parts or be used for Toys For Tots/Angel Tree this year.

That's why choosing store pickup is the way to go. Get the order in, pick up and out the door before they realize the problem.

Reading on SD that they are now cancelling orders when you come for store pick up and offering refunds.

Seeing some stories of impressive hauls (multiple tvs, power wheels, Play-yard sets etc)

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Better not cancel mine after driving to the store. The one I have ready for pick up is a good peace away.

And at "offering" refunds. No thanks, I'll just take the item.

Nice. My nephew hasn't said anything about the Lone Ranger stuff, but he's marked just about everything else in the Lego catalog this year. Last year he got some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Marvel and DC sets. This year he's interested in LOTR, Star Wars, and Legends Of Chima.

Good luck with your remaining orders.

I saw that price in the ad for Skylanders Swap Force but I don't see it for the Disney game.

Thanks. Picked up the second train a bit ago. 25 mile drive each way. I was gonna be pissed if they shot me down.

Lone Ranger license or not, you can't go wrong with a train for boys.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

FYI, Injustice is Best Buy's DotD for $29.99 today. For those with GCU, there's a $15 coupon for it this month and CAG is reporting the upgraded 20% off new games is in effect, making the game either $11.99 or $8.99, depending on whether the percentage is taken first or the coupon.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I went to WalMart last night to pick up my copy of Diablo 3 and they informed me that my order had already been cancelled and refunded. Came home and had an email about it along with the promise of a $10 gift certificate in the near future.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Yeah, just a quick update, I still haven't been by the store yet after receiving the pickup confirmation. But after looking under my account, everything shows as canceled now. So at this point, I'm not even going to bother trying. But I did also get the $10 e-gift e mail as well, so that was a nice surprise.

Check your account page because I just noticed they extended mine to February, which is nice because now I don't have to sweat whether I get the $30, 2 year coupon in time or not.

They will be giving that $30 for 2 years offer to all current members as well as those whose memberships expired in the past six months.
