Going to past on this one. I know I'll never get around to playing these games. Good deal though.

You can go ahead and buy the items NOW.. then just get them adjusted at guest service on BF.. Easiest way to dodge the crowds and get what you want.

Which store are you referring to? Target is not doing that this year.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I found a couple clearance games at Target today, so it seems like they are trying to make space. Dark Souls for $9.98 and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for $19.98.

If 360, MGS HD Collection for $19.98 would have been an easy buy for me personally. I've been waiting for $20 on that sucker for a while.

It's standard practice for Target. They'll adjust prices on anything up to two weeks after purchase date providing you have a receipt. Even works with Coupons. Where do you see that they are not doing that?

Edit: Nevermind. I didn't notice the "target" part in their price matching policy. Just read it as target.com and whatnot.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Does anyone remember if Target did any Buy 2 Get 1 Free sales on games during the last holiday season? Any chance they will have one coming up before Xmas?

I pre-ordered a bunch of Wii U games (and 1 PS3 game) at Newegg with the $12 off coupon. But a B2G1 sale at Target would potentially save me around $19 (w/Target Redcard) per game on $60 games. I'm trying to figure out if I should cancel my preorders and hope for a sale like this. I don't actually need the games until Xmas day. Is there any chance Wii U games will be hard to find in stores especially if they do a sale like this? Thanks...

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Better question is when or if Amazon is going to do a B2G1F sale this year or not. No tax and free shipping would really help out right now.

Thanks for the heads up on the MGS collection at Target. Mine had that. Unfortunatley, they also had, but were out of stock of, Dark Souls for $9.99.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I really hope they plan on price matching some of the other deals out there, because that list is pretty pathetic compared to what Best Buy and Walmart is offering.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Epic Mickey 2 for $25 is solid for a game that comes out next week. Are the thumbnails just placeholders or are the deals specific to the platform icon they're using?

I wish they'd match the Forza deal. Thinking about Max Payne. A guy at work has been raving about it.

Fuck yes, Amazon is matching ALL the games I wanted from Walmart. Just saved me a trip! Now if only they match BB's $35 Assassin's Creed III I'll be set on games.

I'm kind of shocked that Resident Evil 6 has not popped up on any Black Friday ads.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

So I guess Best Buy silver members have access to the BF deals early. Log into your account for details, but it appears you can buy stuff online or by phone on Monday.

Indeed...thankeees Amazon, you just saved me a trip. WWE 13, Lego Batman 2 and maybe Spiderman: Edge of Time here I come. Prototype 2 collectors also tempting, but I'll probably pass.

You all are very optimistic. I seem to recall some of those Black Friday Lightning deals selling out instantly last year.
