I wasn't going to get this, but for that price, why the hell not. It may be cancelled as a pricing error, but doesn't hurt to try.

360 one just dropped to 35.99 also if you missed the ps3 one

...if it's a very long game and you only play it intermittently over the next few weeks.

And dammit I would have preferred the 360 version. But since it's DD you'd have better luck removing your own spleen than getting an order cancelled there.

If you have a Fry's near you, Mortal Kombat Komplete Kollection (did I get enough K's in there?) is $19.99. I thought about it, but I just don't know if I am jonesing for a fighting game right now.

I believe that's the new MSRP. I read about a bunch of drops that happened this week. A couple of others I remember are Uncharted 3 ($19.99) and God of War: Origins Collection ($19.99).

GOW:Origins is not suprising, considering we're getting a package that also contains GOW1-3 and a bunch of extras for twice that price soon.

I went to pick up Dragon Quest VI: Realms Of Revelation (DS) at Best Buy yesterday. The listing showed it @ $14.50 but it rang up as a $6.99 "clearance item". Don't know if its YMMV.

I would lock in the 47 dollar price at newegg, and just cancel it if the LE comes out..

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

No love for Dishonored?

There is also another code floating around, but it might be linked to certain e mails that went out. $15 off any preorder $59.99 or higher. I think it expires tomorrow. BTENBHN37. Might as well try it if you can use it. I canceled my older preorders and reordered Halo 4 LE, Forza Horizons LE and The Last of Us. Still trying to decide if I want to order GTAV or wait for the first price drop.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Alright, using the $15 off coupon they emailed me, since yesterday I preordered:

Guild Wars 2 (PC)
Bioshock Infinite (360)
Grand Theft Auto 5 (360)
God of War Ascension (PS3)
Gears of War Judgement (360)
Black Ops II (360)
Halo 4 & Halo 4 LE (360) -- will sort out which one I actually want later
Skylanders Giants Starter Pack w/ Portal (360)
The Last of Us (PS3)
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3)
Need For Speed Most Wanted (360)

yikes. That looks like a lot when I write it all out....

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Why not just wait for the TRU B2G1 free deal coming up in October? That's effectively $40 a game vs $45.

I thought about it, but with tax, it's about the same deal. Plus this gets me games that come out long after October, I don't have to buy them in threes, get them on or nearly on their release date, and I can pick and choose which games I actually want as the time goes on with easily cancel-able single pre-orders.
On top of all that, there's always the chance that TRU might not do that promo this year. I expect that they will, but there's no guarantees in retail.

After you figure gas and tax, your pretty much at $45/game anyways. Plus you have to find three that you want and hope they have all 3 in stock since you can't exchange as easily as in the past.

And I did end up getting GTAV as well. Figured I have plenty of time to cancel if I change my mind.

Corvin, I'm with you, holding off on a Bioshock Infinite LE as well. Hopefully they don't disappoint. I thought the Bioshock 2 LE was a little disappointing compared with the statue that came with the first game.

I was a little disappointed that Newegg didn't have the God of War Ascension CE up for preorder yet. Definitely would have grabbed that one.
