Some really great free games right now:

Swordigo - side scrolling Zelda/platformer
Tilt to Live - Best tilt based game I've seen
Orbital - Interesting puzzle game

I recommend giving all 3 a look.

Also, Sonic CD is a buck and is well worth it, and Rayman Jungle Run is the Starbucks App of the Week if you happen to be in a Starbucks.
