Exactly. I've been dealing with this "glitch" by shooting them in the face.

And they can knife me all they want, I'm still at the top of the leaderboard after most Domination matches because I'm capping points, not running around like a dickhead.

They run around the whole map, if you stay in one place it's only a matter of time.

The worst ones are the ones that use the glitch/exploit and remove Lightweight Pro from their perk list to free up something else. So it's like they have the speed, and then maybe Hardline Pro to get the streaks faster, or Stopping Power Pro in case they actually remember how to fire their weapon.

Played a Demolition match last night against a whole team of guys doing that. They had hardline on to get to their care package earlier, then would run as a group and just knife the hell out of everyone.

That is when i equip my explosive class with a noob tube, scavenger, and the perk that boosts explosions. Toss on some C4 and martyrdom... teach the suckers not to run as a pack

I had a group like that the other night too. It was during TDM on the Sub Base map. Me and another guy went to the far building up top with M249s and mowed the entire team down several times. They started getting pissed and went back to weapons, so all of our team changed and went to the knife classes. It was pretty entertaining.

I was in one of those matches a few nights ago. My first thought was to completely back out, but I decided to give it a try.

Ended up playing 2 + hrs and have to say it definitely made Domination much more challenging since it became more of a high-paced "Run/Gun" scenario versus the typical "camp-outs" I was use to seeing.

Overall, completely different from the "care package crap" that's being exploited
in the standard matches.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - No Russian in this thread

the care package speed boost is annoying but not nearly as game breaking as the javelin glitch. besides i just equip my [RIOT] class (riot shield, dual rangers, marathon pro, lightweight pro, commando pro) and go to town. no matter how fast they are they don't generally get past my rangers. the shield is nice to have when capping flags (i mostly play domination). i really enjoy all of the options in this one compared to cod4 and don't feel outmatched by the knifers. i just wish matchmaking wasn't so wonky

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - No Russian in this thread

I've adjusted my loadout to be commando, lightweight and marathon but I don't play the typical way of just running and slashing. My Scar-H is primary and I usually end up with 12-5 kills on average with it and another 2-3 with my knife --- playing Demolition mostly.

I honestly can't imagine going back to other perks that don't have me running fast and often -- and that's only because I want to get to the bomb and either plant or defuse it AND make myself hard to peg as I flee. I refuse to camp.

What cracks me up is when the glitchers try to run that setup in wide open maps like Wasteland. I just stand there and watch them running at me from the other end of the hedgerow and as soon as they're almost in knifing range I just pop them in the head. It's like that scene in Monty Python & the Holy Grail with the knight running toward the camera.

Kills through windows are easy ways to rack them up, same goes for most kills on scrapyard.

Aside from that, it's pretty tricky. I maxed out the UMP and it probably took me 400-450 kills to do all 40 FMJs.

Doesn't the shot have to punch through something and get a kill? I haven't even tried to get that challenge. I'll just wait until it happens naturally.

Ya, you have to have bullet penetration kill (Through a wall/window/crate/etc) to get it to count.

It helps to equip the thermal sight along with the FMJ so you can easily spot people peeking out of windows and such. Then you just watch which direction they move in to hide and blast them through the wall.

I think (and it's just a gut feeling) that FMJ kills are easier when played on hardcore mode. I just felt I racked them up much faster that way.

Just lead an enemy running into a building. LMGs are perfect for this.

I'm trying to get all the headshots for my Scar-H. I currently have 101 and need to get to 250 in order to complete all this weapon's challenges. What a pain it is.

Got this for Christmas and just started playing tonight. The airport scene was much more disturbing than I imagined it would be. I am stuck on the Brazilian level. I gave up for the night.

I'm guessing you're talking about Favela. That level was a BITCH to play on Veteran. One of the hardest ones.

I actually had less trouble on Favela and the airport on Veteran than I did on normal difficulty. As a matter of fact, I didn't die once on the airport level. I forget where I finally gave up on playing veteran, but it was well past those two levels. I need to co-op the rest, I guess.

I highly doubt that.
