I did my first (and only) runthrough on Veteran, and that was one of the most frustrating videogame levels I've ever played.

I liked it on Veteran.

It was way intense, all kinds of action. You had to be meticulous as hell about every corner you took and every house/hovel you were in.

I finally cleared Favela by spazzing out and running through it as fast as I could. Not a level that rewards a slow, thoughtful approach at least in my experience.

I cleared it today on normal. My wife came home and I turned off the game after clearing the oil platform level. I am not sure how far into the game I am . Pretty awesome so far.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - No Russian in this thread

I was en fuego last night playing TDM. It's the first time I've ever played TDM and I was the leading scorer as well as having the highest k:d ratio for three straight games. During one game on the skid row map I stumbled upon a room full of 4 enemies all looking out the window for easy kills... I simply walked up to each one and stabbed them back to back to back to back

I got some crazy bonus for killing that many in a row with a knife and got my predator, harrier and emergency airdrop all in seconds... that led to another harrier, another predator, a sentry gun and a UAV. Not a bad round but I'm sure I'll never repeat that again.

Agreed. I played it on Veteran to start so I wouldn't have to play it again.

Spoiler:
You realize you are shot in the face at the end of that episode when they turn on you knowing you are a mole, right?

I did the same exact thing, and got the "Wargasm" title

I even killed a guy with C4 right before I got his other 4 teammates.

hey is there someone here willing to play the co op missions with me? I'm finding them rather difficult. To get an idea of how decent a player I am my Kill:death ratio is .9

That's it! That's the title I got too.

I picked this up for the PS3 as well (couldn't pass up the $40 sale at Amazon). So feel free to add me as a friend. I have yet to play it online but I offer some skills... just don't have anything unlocked yet.

Favela on Veteran was almost as hard as some of the later levels of COD4 on Veteran. The rest of the game was way easier though.

Rob, and anybody else with CoD:MW2 on PS3, check out this thread. We welcome all participants, no matter the skill level, for weekly games starting soon. You can also connect with people for Co-Op missions.

Is Prestige really worth it? I am up to rank 67 now, and alot of my friends have stayed at 70 because they don't want to start all over for just an emblem or a title.

I can't see doing it all over again, it might be time to trade this in.

What a ride, though.

I'd get about 5 to 8 FMJ kills perched on the rafters overlooking "B" playing domination on estate. I finished 3 guns off this way (SMG and 2 assaults). Hope this helps!

To me it's not. I plan to stay at 70. Hopefully for future generations of MW they give a real incentive to Prestige... maybe a unique weapon or killstreak reward (ie maybe they could have held back the "nuke" reward for those who Prestige). It doesn't have to be over the top, but it should be more than a badge that has zero impact on your play.

After playing a few nights at Lvl 70, I decided to prestige. I realized half the fun of this game, for me, was leveling up and unlocking items.

Sure I missed a few things (claymores, stinger, 1887's), but to tell you the truth, I was able to play just as well with the "lower leveled" weapons.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - No Russian in this thread

Since it's taken me forever just to get to level 51 I'm not planning to prestige. I'll just focus on maxing out the various weapons from that point on for something to do.

I'm probably the exception, but my plan (I'm 63 right now, I think) is to just stay on 70 and just try to beat as many challenges and unlock as many things as possible. If I were to prestige, I'd just end up doing the exact same things I've already done, probably using mostly the same weapons/perks combinations.

Had there been gold weapons like those awarded in CoD4, I would not have prestiged. It took me less time getting gold weapons than it did for some people to get their gold cross. And I did so without boosting. There is no incentive like that in WaW or MW2, so I ended up prestiging.
