In this game though when you are in a lobby there is a little thing off to the side that tells you whether your NAT is open, moderate, or closed. You want it to be open.

I haven't played an FPS in years, and I always avoid them because I suck. But I picked this up yesterday, and holy crap it's awesome. I still suck, but the campaign is intense. Hopefully I'll get decent enough to venture online soon, but for now I'm living on the lowest difficulty single player and loving it.

I'm glad there are a lot of maps. I played some new gametype and then was frustrated when I kept hitting new maps that I didn't know.
Looking forward to the upcoming DLC of MW1 maps. Not that this has been announced, but it's an obvious (and OK-by-me) cash-grab.

I would absolutely love to have the maps brought over and would happy lay my 10$ down to get them into the new game.

I am so happy they've gotten rid of the clown closets. The infinitely spawning enemies drove me crazy in previous CODs. I loved COD 4&5, but this one is a big improvement.

I've been playing with the Vector for a while tonight.
I've come to really like it. It's already got a fast fire rate so with stopping power it dropped them fast, I added the rate of fire attachment that really speeds up the fire rate, wow that weapon drops people fast. With steady aim for hip shooting its hard to miss with so many rounds coming. I also did some fairly long long distance kills with it.
I called in an enemy care package missile onto the top of their helicopter that was in the air and got some wild achievement and quite a few points. That was cool.
Also I took someone's weapon with that death streak perk where you can grab their loadout, and then I killed the guy with his own weapon and got like 8000 points plus 2 other bonuses for doing that.
Overall I'm still not up to my game on COD4. I still have too many crap games... though 4 or 5 times tonight I had the best K/D in a game and the fewest deaths.
It's obvious some people have been playing virtually round the clock and know those maps like the back of their hand already. Hard to deal with that.

Haven't really played much of the campaign as I jumped right to online play. Wow, haven't had this much fun since Unreal Championship 2004.
I like that you get rewarded for various actions during any given game and how you can advance quickly even if you aren't a killing machine. I think my highest point total in a game came with only 6 kills. But, I got the most assists and captured a lot of domination (my favorite game type so far) points. Perks are pretty cool too. Only 12 more miles of sprinting to get the pro version of that perk!

I'm enjoying this game a lot, lot more than MW1. I can't help but feel aspects of the game were designed for future cash grabs, but when the base for those cash grabs is this good, I can't complain.

IT IS A GAME.
(Also, that's about how I looked trying to beat the airplane mission on Veteran from MW1, though I finally did.)

For those who have completed the game, check out this absolutely amazing quick run of the game. (And I thought 6 hours was short!)

I would absolutely pay to have all of the MW maps playable in MW2.

Beat the game and it was just as short as I heard. I didn't think the game was really nearly as good as the original. I did like the last level and the level where you played on the snowmobile. Those were quite fun.
Did not understand the storyline at all. I did like that it was almost like a Fallout prequel. But the story was so ridiculous, it felt like the first one was a lot more real.

This was one of the things that was preventing me from buying right away. I hated that in old versions, trying to clear an area until you crossed the magic line.

SO much fun! These perks, along with one of the assault rifles (can't remember which one, but I think it's the 5th one in the list) has become my new favourite custom Class. At first, I hated the assault rifles that require you to pull the trigger for each shot (as opposed to automatic), but I find the accuracy to be WAY better. I actually ranked second place in one match (I'm usually in the bottom half)
