Yep, it's Little Dead Space. It's the Monday after Superbowl... my brain is not working.

Seriously, this one's funny!
I tried this level the other day. I think your close but it needs to be tweeked a little. A number of times the pancake would only flip half way leaving me stuck on the edgep and then falling into the fire.

You should be able to grab one side and ride it down. If it's straight up and down, you can even push it one way or the other. It's an acquired skill, no doubt, but my high score on it is completely legit. You can also predict whether it will flip completely based on where it is in the pan...the further to the right, the more likely it is to flip.

While tweaking, I discovered that if I give it enough force/distance to flip every time, it gets too unpredictable and doesn't reliably stay in the pan. The bolt is set at a mere 2 degrees right now, and if I increase it to 3, it becomes unplayable.

I may have to rethink the mechanics entirely at some point.

I reworked the mechanics for a more reliable flip (longer slower swing), but it's reliable to the point of being too easy now. Still, I posted it as a separate level called: Pancake Panic (easy version)

I have to admit, it does look a lot prettier when the pancake flips almost every time. Give it a shot if you have time. Let me know if you like it better.

Is it possible to import images yet?

Also, Uncle Gramps... I played your Domnio Rally / History of the PS3 level but it must be incomplete, right?

I believe that it's coming soon in an upcoming patch.

Yeah, I threw it together for a PlayStation contest which had an entry period of about two weeks. It's more a proof of concept than anything. I want to revisit the "Rube Goldberg machine" idea again in more depth when I have more time, but then again I still have a Christmas level to finish and it's the middle of February.

I haven't touched the game since late December, because I'm going back through my Pile of Shame and finishing a bunch of them.

re: Official LittleBigPlanet Thread Part 2 : LittlerLater

Hey...somebody bumped the LBP thread!

I'm still fully obsessed with this game and could easily have been the "Shagrath" of the LBP thread.

If anybody hasn't tried Little Lost, give it a go sometime...and if you haven't played it in a while, you'd only recognize about half of it.

And if you like it...and ONLY if you like it, please heart me as a creator. I'm only 3 hearts away from the trophy, and I want to get it legitimately.

For the OP: My current published levels are:

Little Lost
Pancake Panic: A Survival Challenge
Sackboy Jones
The Shocker

re: Official LittleBigPlanet Thread Part 2 : LittlerLater

Not sure who's still interested, but I played some fairly amazing community levels this weekend...all as good or better than anything Media Molecule made in terms of depth and polish.

H.A.T.E. & H.A.T.E. 2: Sort of a Portal tribute...has some brilliant puzzles
Jack McSetback and the Buccaneers' Booty: Sequel to The Spikey Stone of Doom
Left Behind & Left Behind 2
The Bearer 1-3: Lord of the Rings Tribute with some seriously amazing lighting/smoke effects

Give these a try if you haven't. You'll be impressed.

...and also play Little LOST

It is truly beautiful...just be aware that english is a second language for the creator, so the grammer is a bit off here and there.

A new version of LBP was just announced for the PSP.

Sweet - the PSP's actually a much better platform for it, as it's a simple game meant to be played in short bursts.

re: Official LittleBigPlanet Thread Part 2 : LittlerLater

Here's a cool thing I saw on Joystiq last night:

If you want to search for a level by word search, you can put a $ in front of the word, and as best I can tell, it does a very good job finding levels with that word in the title...and it even seems to sort them by rating/hearts, so you get the best levels.

I tried $lost as a test to find my Little LOST, and all the levels I got were 4 star levels. Mine was even on the first page, which was pretty cool, and I played some other LOST themed levels.

This fixes the search problem, at least for me. I just wish a generic search worked this way, just so folks could find good levels in a more intuitive way.

Anyway, I hope that helps...practically fixes the game for me.

I gave up on this game. I think I played it a total of 30 minutes altogether. Just not as interesting as I thought it'd be.

I might pick it up again when it's $20 or so.

I was very underwhelmed by The Bearers 1-3. Maybe I need to try it another time, but I had high hopes

Sorry to hear that.

The gameplay is just so-so, but I thought he did some really interesting stuff.

The other levels I posted a bit back are far superior.
