I asked this before and got no reply, but is there a way to search for user-created levels by star-rating alone?

Some cool news:

LittleBigPlanet to import images by Christmas
Talking at GameCity in Nottingham today, Alex Evans was asked about the lack of image import in LittleBigPlanet.

The news? He confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas.

For those (many) people that were upset to hear that the PlayStation Eye was going to be the only image import option this will indeed be (completely non-religious) music to their ears.

We’ll have more news from GameCity soon, so keep checking back.

Yeah, that shouldn't be any sort of a problem for copyright infringement or anything, right?

FWIW, Here's UGO's list of The Top 50 User-Created Levels.
It's too bad that you have to start at #50 and click "Next" forty-nine times to see the top of the list.

I can point my PS Eye at any image I want. This just makes it clearer.

It's time for custom stickers.

Do not start new threads when an existing thread is open on the same subject. Especially when you don't bother reporting the old thread and requesting it closed.

I have two levels up: Roulette Wheel and Digestive Dan's Derring-Doo!

Roulette Wheel is just a toy, not a full level, though.

Well Mr Moderator, I did request it to be closed at the bottom of the last post. In addition, when I clicked on the "report this post to a mod" link, I saw it didn't meet the criteria, so I decided against it. Please let me know what the appropriate protocol is and next time, I assure you I will follow it.

Wait until a mod closes the thread and starts a new one.

Requesting in the thread may not be seen - because we can't read every single post. So in your case, reporting it or sending a PM to a mod requesting it be closed would've been the right way to go.

Ah, gotcha. Sorry. Never had a thread that needed a part two before.

It's a very popular game amongst those who own it; I wish the game was selling better though

I hope more sites pop up with real extensive reviews of online levels. The kind that would have hundreds of different levels but with polls and mini reviews added would be awsome. I did find this one with is small but decent.

Saves a hassle. So yes.

And it's about a snowball effect. If one does it, many do making things even tougher to keep organized.

shocked it wasn't a pic of you!

But seriously - this is a volunteer gig. I don't do this because I get paid, I don't do it because I have to, I don't do it because I have tons of free time because I don't. And seeing as we all have lives outside the internet, I nor other mods police every post in every thread. It's not possible. So that's where community self monitoring and process following help out a lot. We as mods can do what we have to when things come up, but otherwise we are simply forum members like everyone else - and enjoy the camaraderie we have on this forum.

So with that, I offer up a link to my amazon wishlist so you can show a mod you care during these tough times. PM me for the link.

This Little Big Planet isn't big enough for the both of us. There is going to big trouble in Little Big Planet. So I'm going to give you until the count of 3 before I tell you the business.

3

If you turn off your mic while playing you can crash the game. No problem turning them on during play but turning the mic off can cause freezing problems. Now get off my Little Big Planet before I give you some more business.

This showed up in my Amazon Gold Box today for $56.99. Pulled the trigger on another one to send to my brother for Christmas. Added a Dual Shock for $40ish. Hopefully he and my 3.5 year old niece have as much fun with it as I am.

Don't expect much for your niece. My daughter is almost 4.5 and loves it but can't handle much after level 3.
