Also at the VGA last night, it should be no surprise that RB2 picked up Music Game of the Year. It beat out GH:WT, Wii Music, and Singstar.

Without Rock Revolution present, that championship is tainted. I demand a recount!

Alive is hands down my absolute favorite guitar solo out of all the RB tracks I've played. It was a complete surprise to me going in. I love 90's PJ, and was looking forward to the song, but never expected it to be so fucking awesome when I was playing it. :)

Damn, I love this game. I've only unpacked the guitar so far. I'm not even going to use the mic so I'll wait until the Lips ones work. I plan to play just the guitar until I get bored, then move on to just drums, then move on to just singing, and by then I'll be itching to use the guitar again. This game certainly delivers.

The only song I HAVEN'T 5-starred is the one I used star-power on. It distracts me. I play sitting down so it's hard to activate by flipping the guitar and hitting the button always makes me miss a note.

I haven't had any perfects yet :( I missed ONE NOTE on two songs. I was glad to see that purchases (Margaritaville) made it onto the tour itself as opposed to just being able to Quickplay them. I literally five-starred Margaritaville on the LAST NOTE.

I REALLY like the star-indicator. I wish there was a note percentage indicator of your accuracy at any point in the game. I am NOT a fan of the wedges, though. I prefer circles.

I don't like anything other than easy because takes too much enjoyment away. I'm happy just using Easy even if I 5-star everything.

I had a lag problem with just the green notes when I started. I don't have that lag problem anymore but now I have a lag problem with the yellow notes.

I have a killer Eddie Vedder singing "Jeremy" impression - I can't wait to bust it out for the masses.

Look in the manual for calibration numbers for your tv. That'll fix the lag.

If you are only missing a note or two on easy then it's time to take the training wheels off and move to medium. It may be frustrating at first but once you get it down you will have a great sense of accomplishment and look back and wonder why you stuck with easy for so long.

Tried that with GH 2 and I was miserable.

I think something is up with the controller/you, because it's pretty much impossible for just ONE COLOR to lag...you may notice it more with that note, but the timing window is probably off... hopefully you can get it sorted out and definitely try playing STANDING UP! It's about 100x more fun and way easier to activate overdrive... I remember when I first tried Guitar Hero and could only do easy...I then go daring and tried to master medium - it was a long slog at first, but now just a few short years later, I only play Expert :)

And while we are at it, since the Ten reissue is the first of each and every PJ album getting a reissue over the next couple of years leading up to their 20 year anniversary, anyone else hoping we'll see the other albums get the same treatment? It would be pretty sick!

So the other night during our Rock Band fest with the lights/fog. The girlfriend saw ACDC on there and rocks out to it(she hadn't played much of RB2 yet, but since I moved in she gets to now)...and she says "Ummm, is there anymore ACDC that we can download?" To which I grudgingly replied "Yes, but it's a walmart exclusive." She sighs, and says "That seems like it might be worth breaking our embargo." Then I showed her the track list, and she claimed embargo off for one purchase.

I still won't break my embargo for it.

I tried to make it, but I can't lie so when she asked I had to tell the truth.

Is there still a decent after-market for those discs once you use the code?

I'll take it back to wally and say it doesn't work if I have to.

I tried that with Lost: Via Domus. They'll just give you another copy, and they'll open it for you so you can't return it new.

At least it's on sale for $30 right now.

Read my post again. Input the correct numbers from the manual and it should fix all lag.

I just bought the disc alone on the second market for 15 bucks shipped. The tracks are decent but i still dislike live tracks (for the most part). I don't mind putting it in when i want an AC/DC fix and leaving the live cuts out otherwise.

I don't implicitly trust Axl Rose on this one (:lol:), but I'd be happy if this was true. I know that a lot of people do not like the album, but I do and would like to play a lot of those songs in RB.

I finally opened the box up yesterday and set the stupid thing up. Of course at my age my faculties are not with me anymore. I couldn't get the wireless drum set to work. The light just keep blinking and blinking.

So I Googled it and finally figured out that I was stupid and had forgotten that I had to sync it wirelessly to the console. Got that done and finally sat down to play some drums. Well, I got my ass kicked.

I really believe that those of you who have never played drums before in your life have the advantage playing this game. I've played drums for almost 33 years now and I found myself trying to play the songs as I would as if I were playing the drums (that's my excuse).

And on the Rush songs, I couldn't even make it thru the songs even though I've played those songs on the drums 100's of times.
