Good luck with that. You'll be begging for some "intermediate" in no time.

OMG! All of that and with Pearl Jam in March, why not just call it Grunge Band?! WHERE'S MY ROCK!?

act like you holiday know

Foo isn't really grunge, so you basically have Nevermind and Ten, oh noz, two of the biggest albums of the 90s being released in a game being played by a lot of people born or raised in the 90s. Big shocker there.

Of course, you probably already knew that and I'm just flat out bored tonight so yeaah. (I'm looking on the brightside, it isn't corny hair metal or shitty emo)

Darknite39 12-21-08 01:08 AM

G/f gave me RB2 when we had our "early Christmas" today. Having only played GH3/4 before with the guitar (avoiding the iffy GH drums), this game is WAY fun. I had no idea singing was so taxing until today. I blew out my voice on the second song in a set! :)

I hope hope hope that the DLC is made available to us Wii owners soon. I'm itching to get some of those tracks.

Rob V 12-21-08 07:50 AM

Love the Foo news... but as SexualPudding said -- where are the tracks for Let it Die and Pretender??

PS - I still want some Prince tracks too.

PixyJunket 12-21-08 10:46 AM

FUUUUUUUCK!

I went to a Christmas party and played vocals on Rock Band 2 several times.

Spoiler:
I loved it.
God damn it.

Out of over 100 songs (probably more) I only knew Nine Inch Nails and Beastie Boys, so there you go. By the way, my performance of The Perfect Drug was apparently the stuff of legends. Instead of trying to do good (per the game) I just tried to have fun and was getting crazy on the mic, I was all over the other band members and was on floor curled up singing the last quiet part. There may have been alcohol involved, by the way.

Oh shit, I hope nobody taped that.

Think of GH and RB as the ultimate (American) SHUMPS, Pixy.

Yea I thought the 84 tracks would satisfy me for a few weeks, but I want to download some new songs already (and I haven't played every song yet).

I think it might go up Monday, as Nintendo releases the new Wiiware and VC games, but I would say definitely by weeks end.

I really like tinkering around with the picture taker on the website too. It's cool how the game links up like that.

Mad Dawg 12-22-08 11:56 PM

Looks like VH1 Classic is advertising the January 6th tracks already. Someone caught the pop-up commercial and this CMT link seems to verify it:

http://www.cmt.com/shows/schedule/?seriesId=8519

Plus, get details on how you can rock out with The Soul of Rock and Roll with the upcoming release of the Roy Orbison Pack for Rock Band 2 consoles.
 The VH1C ad apparently says 6 songs, including "Oh Pretty Woman." It mentions others, but no one else has caught specifics. Pretty damn amazing.

LorenzoL 12-22-08 11:59 PM

I'm excited that Roy Orbison is coming. Now if they get music from Travelling Wilburys, it will be something else...

:up: If you think about it, we're so close. Bob Dylan...check, Roy Orbison...check, George Harrison...sort of check.

hmxsean confirmed that the Orbison pack is coming, songs and prices to be announced next week.

sauce07 12-23-08 11:06 AM

"You Got It" could be fun, hope thats part of the pack. This was totally unexpected but i'll take it.

lordwow 12-23-08 12:58 PM

In for all 6.
